Thought this may interest some here. The criteria was you had to be a local junior player and have played 100 first grade games.FB_IMG_1658012895956.jpg

I did the poll for this. It was sent out to members. Was confused at first but now that criteria makes sense

I don't remember getting a poll for this at all so was surprised when I saw it.

I agree with the 100 games but probably not the local junior thing. A champion like Turvey isn’t there.

Why is a 'team of the century' not more publicised?! And why is it selected after only 87 years?

That would be a great club side in any era but over 87 years it doesn't show a huge ability or focus on developing locals into stars. Where we have been traditionally great is at finding star teenagers from outside the area like JT, SBW, Turvey etc. The best team of players who debuted with us would be better, even though it would exclude Baa.

OK, just looking up the history of the Club, it appears as though 1922 was the first season that the district had a competition of their own.

Criteria was they had to be from a junior club, played a minimum of 100 1st grade games, of which 50 had to be for the Dogs. It was to celebrate the 100 years of the CB JUNIOR league
