I think it adds up to about $20 extra for a case worth plus the extra cost to buy the unit, and you always end up losing some with a tap due to frothing.

It's about $38 for the NEw, TEDS, Superdry etc and for that you get 6.4L - a schooner is about 425ml which works out to be about 15 schooners, or $2.50 per schooner. Even cheaper if you want to go XXXX.

A few bucks cheaper than buying a schooner at the pub, and there is also the novelty factor of having beer on tap at home.

A schooner is also bigger than the average bottle of beer which is worth keeping in mind as many people make comparisons between the tap king and a case of beer.

So what is the consensus on these, are they any good or a gimmick that's a waste of money/space?

I had a James Squires golden ale on the weekend and it was beautiful!
I can't wait for more variety
