Radio personality Steve Price has been charged with drink driving in a north Sydney suburb.
Police said they arrested a 52-year-old man in Neutral Bay on Saturday night and charged him with mid-range drink driving, but would not name the man.
Sydney radio station 2UE, which hosts Price's drive show, on Sunday released a statement confirming the broadcaster had been charged after undergoing a blood alcohol test on Saturday night.
"Steve deeply regrets the incident as he never knowingly set out to drink and drive," the statement said.
"(This) should serve as a warning to all motorists who think that they are right to drive after a couple of drinks.
"Steve had two beers and two red wines in three hours ... (this) shows that while he thought he was right ... it was a dumb thing to do."
Police said the 52-year-old man would face North Sydney court on May 8
