I think confidence and toughness are the big issues for Averillo. I've thought so since watching him last season. I personally would have liked to see him get a bit of game time in reserves to develop both and maybe get promoted when he was in better form. I didn't see enough of his junior football to buy into the hype. But so far he's a fair way off living up to the hype. Very similar situation to Wakeham in that regard.


As far as Katoa goes, I don't think he was a sensation in the halves. He just put in a couple of decent kicks in a game where mobody was expecting him to be in the halves. If he plays there again and is listed in the 6 or 7 jersey he'll cop more attention from the defense from the opening whistle. Hard to judge the quality of his performance until he's facing that attention.
