Should We Take the 2?

Hypothetical first half.. Regardless of scoreline.. if we get a penalty in their half should the team take the 2 points to get off the duck egg?

I think taking the 2 would feel even more humiliating.

The only way I could possibly justify it would in the highly unlikely circumstance of the scoreline being either nil all or 0-2 in the dying minutes of the first half. Could justify us potting a field goal if nil all at the same time also.

I think it would be more embarassing taking the 2 then getting 0 if it was say 20 points to the other team at the time. It's conceeding we have no idea, no hope and giving up trying is ok. So a NO for me.
