Should we split the NrL into 2

Prior to 88, less than 30 years ago, the game was split between QRL and Nswrl. Now it’s joined obviously

would it be an idea to split it again?
This era coincides with our heyday.
Is it an idea to split up ?
We are more likely to find success again with less teams and most games would be around Sydney. More local clashes.

Penrith
Doggs
South’s
Easts
st G
Cronulla
Newscast
Canberra
Bears
Manly
Melb
MacArthur wests magpies
Inner west tigers
CC

QLD can throw up the Qrl teams and have the warriors and Perth
It’s hard to rise above with 17 teams but 14 easier

Hi numskull, in a desperate attempt to survive the NRL has designed rules to strengthen some teams at the expence of others.
The only spliting worth while is for the weaker teams to break away and form their own comp independent of the NRL.
Mark my words some clubs aill remain very weak for a long time and eventually lose most of their fans, then they will just have to drop out.

QRL
Then at seasons end have an expanded world club challenge tournament.
So something liek this
Penrith
Wigan
Broncos
They play each other twice and the top 2 have a WCC Grand final for a universal title.
One day maybe even a strengthened Nz/pacific island comp and you can add a NZ team in that

The Lebanese economy is in bad shape so unfortunately their comp will be stuck somewhere between NSW Cup and Ron Massey for the foreseeable future.
If the governing body pumps funding we can get ESL and fringe NrL players to pump into our comp to support talented players like Toufic El Hajj and Atef Hamdan who is NRL quality I think
