I really don’t understand how a professional sport with a salary cap that the nrl has to approve contracts doesn’t know where each clubs salary is at every season. The NRLOL is a joke of an operation

And therein lies the whole story. IF the NRL is sighting and lodging contracts as they come in how can a club ever exceed the cap when registering legitimate and accurate contracts( let's not be concerned with ones that are dodgy like the two books kept by the Storm or brown paper bags under the table because unless a disgruntled ex employee blows the whistle the NRL never finds out about these). Unless they ( the NRL) rely on a abacus to keep tabs on the total there is no way in this world that a club can register contracts which exceed the legal level.
