The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have continued their re-build for next season with the appointment of Shane Millard and Gurpreet Singh to the club’s Pathways Program.

Millard will be the new Head Coach of the Bulldogs Academy and Pathways Program, working closely with the NRL coaching staff to ensure standards, methods and philosophies are passed down throughout all junior representative programs, in addition to mentoring all Junior Representative Coaching Staff.

He will bring enormous experience, with his playing career spanning 272 First Grade matches with the Roosters, Western Suburbs, St George Illawarra, London Broncos, Widnes, Leeds and Wigan.

As a coach, Millard, took Illawarra to the SG Ball Grand Final in 2016, before moving on to coach the North Sydney NSW Cup side (2018), South Sydney NSW Cup side (2019) and NSW Residents (2018-19) teams. Millard, has more recently been an Assistant Coach with the Wests Tigers (2020-21).

Gurpreet Singh has been appointed as the new Head of Strength and Conditioning for the Pathways and Development Programs.

Singh has most recently been involved with the Cronulla Sharks, where he was Head of Performance for Academy and Pathways Programs, in addition to being involved with the NSW Rugby League Pathways Program over the past three years.

He has a strong background in strength and conditioning, speed, agility, power and recovery, and will provide management and support for all coaches and conditioners within the Bulldogs Pathways Program.

Most importantly, Singh will work closely with NRL High Performance Manager, Dan Ferris, to provide a smooth link between the Junior Representative teams and the NRL.

Interested about Gurpreet Singh (Coach Gee on Instagram). He has been training James Segeyaro so maybe the Dogs are the club he was referring to about the train and trial.

The cronulla sharks have had terrible injuries in recent years :/ but shane millard is a solid pickup with his experience of juniors.

These 2 don't instill a lot of confidence but I suppose any change could be a positive

Can't we employ people from much better performing teams though like the Panthers, Storm etc ?
