So all those posts with Roger the running coach and his confirmation that Xerri hadn't lost his speed was all bs?

We haven't seen evidence of him outsprinting anyone so I guess you're right.

I will stop because I've been down this road a million times and there's no need to bring it up. I'll stick to sad laughing about Ciraldo's last month at the club lol.
 
I think I know why Sexton was let go and why Mahoney moved on.

The Bulldogs system created a great platform for a half. Sexton rode that platform and his style clicked well into it. The problem was, Sexton was reaching his limits on game impact. Most halves with the platform we provide destroy oppositions and pile on the points. Melbourne, Panthers, and Canberra halfbacks in our side would add an extra 2 tries per game.

Ciraldo can see clearly what Sexton is doing and not doing. He knows what he keeps asking him to do and what he fails to do. Sexton's running game lacks power and a sharp step. So him digging into the line is almost toothless. Defending players can trust one player to handle him easily, so he struggles to draw 2 players in.

We were going to run into trouble knowing we are red lining with our current half while the rest of the team is dominating and providing consistent attacking position only to end up with little points and relying solely on defence to win the games.

Mahoney could see the talent around him and what was coming to fill the Hooker role and he had to secure his future with a big sum somewhere they needed his type of defensive service - his ruck defense is incredible and we need someone who can do that almost all game. I hope Bailey can next year. He has this year to build to that level.

The dumb journos if you can call them that are generating about 4 articles a day about our 2 players moving on. It is hilarious. They do not want to see our vision of what we are building long term. They just want to nit pick for ratings - rating whores are real. lol

He hasn’t been the same since the suspension, not sure if he’s playing nervous or what but he seems down on confidence.

Sexton looks better because he’s in a well drilled team, our attack is still poor which is more of a reflection on his ability to create, you can see how much he is rated by opposition teams that he had to go to super league to get a start

I didn’t care much about the topic he didn’t quit he signed elsewhere as GUS said he didn’t want to talk about it but it was pretty obvious he wasn’t going to get re signed….!!!!!!!

He got half a milllion
