Sexton to quit Bulldogs

There was talk of another NRL team after him..wonder who that was..
 
No excuses for not winning the comp now, we've made it to first on the ladder with a below NRL standard halfback which we've now replaced with a teen prodigy half.

And what do we do with Woods who could well be knocking on the NRL door by 2027?
This seems to be a case of ‘get the player then figure out where he fits‘ - and it’s not obvious where he fits, which is why I was meh with the whole thing, especially the circus. Guess we just have to trust Gus/Ciro.
 
Gus and Ciro pretty cut throat with their vision for the team's roster going forward if this report is accurate...remembering its Buzz and News so reported in the worst probable light no doubt.

We're all pretty stunned with the way Sexton's future with us, and the NRL, has apparently panned out. Disappointing for all parties and most fans of the guy.

We don't know the kpi's Ciro has set down for Toby and if he has consistently met them. In any event his re-signing has been strung out and most saw the writing on the wall. Its kinda unbelievable another NRL team couldn't see the value in signing him....tho apparently he has decided instead to experience SL...although DT saying he has signed with Catalans for 2 years but how does that align with Perth Bears? This still could be Buzzard stirring the pot against our club as per usual?

I guess our club will be making some statement after Fridays game in response to Toby's announcement.

We all suspected this was coming but its still a shock and the club will be hoping there's goodwill from the players and fans in making this decision by Gus and Ciro bc it is def a decision they have taken ...for good reasons one suspects in fulfilling their vision for the team's success.
 
Even the Dragons don't want Sexton LOL

The guys on NRL 360 keep saying it's unfair because Sexton took us to 1st but it's the other way round, the team carried him to 1st. He's not even in the top 5 of those creating most tries in our team and every coach and recruitment manager in the NRL know it but Braith, Buzz and co can't see it. Just shows they know f..k all

Players that usually go to the sl put in clauses that if they get a offer from a NRL team they can activate it to leave. And if that's not the case home sickness is the easiest possible way to leave if he wants.

A great bloke. Our game improved significantly when he became our half-back. Wish him the best and hope he comes back to the NRL and does well. I trust Ciro and Gus to make the right choice for our club though.
