I tend to agree Woods is our future half just honing his skills in lower grades.
Galvin is fine our coaching staff will eventually find what is his best position moving forward,CC will guide us into September nothing else.
Sorry SD I didn’t mean to tag you in that last post.

If he can learn the positioning i think he could be a gun there. I don't think we can afford to play him anywhere other than the spine given the money he's on.
Yeah all factors.
I wouldnt be surprised to see him moved on by Gus come contract renewal time? Dunno. Gus will facilitate a good deal for him. He looks after players.
As was said earlier. We could be in a bit of a pickle (if we aren't already lol) handling all of this but we have the best in the business in Gus even tho Buzz says he's a failure with no GMF premierships lol

Should I post this? yeah - why not.
Funny. I could cut and paste some of the same quotes now.
You'd think some would learn not to shoot their load too early....
Cotric signed to play centre too around this time lol.

1. Burton
2. Tracey
6. Galvin
7. Woods
Burton shifting somewhere i think is inevitable to accommodate Woods.

For what it’s worth, I had a chat with Burto’s old man earlier this year and he indicated Burto would be going over the states to give NFL a try when his contract was up in 2027…

I thought that could possibly happen.
He'd be mad not to go try and earn that kinda money.
He's better than some of those AFL guys with his floating spirals :grinning:

PS Gus on top of this already with Galvin lol

well we're gonna have a problem next season with burton and Galvin as our main halves one will have to play 7 and that'll most likely have to be Galvin

He'll have a full pre season with the team at least. It was never gonna be perfect from the start.

Each way bet, Woods or Galvin one of them has gotta peak maybe both, gee Gus is smart not to mention if Sexty gets hurt Galvin gets a boyhood dream in the semis

Terry Lamb was a Doggies Junior from the get go coming out of the Chester Hill Hornets.
He was killing it in the Junior Reps. but was moved on because of some blokes called Mortimer were on the scene
and was not a Catholic (as they say).
I remember the day I was at Lidcombe Oval, seated close by to Artie Beetson and other talent scouts where there were trials happening.
Baa was in West Magpie Colours and needless to say he absolutely carved up the oppostion. Made them look very second rate.
Another trialist that day, and who was just as impressive, was Gary Jack.
In the time he was on the field he made at least ten breaks up the middle with strength and speed.
Needless to say the conversation around me was, 'got to sign these two.'
Lamb and Jack, shortly after signed with the Magpies.
He was established as Rep. player before coming to the Bulldogs, however after being selected for the Ashes tour of England
he withdrew from that tour because of his upcoming marriage.
He only just missed out for the DallyM Rookie of the year award to his then team mate Jim Leis who prided himself
in backing up and scoring tries who he accredits this skill by playing alongside Baa who was the master of backing up.
Nice insight.

Galvin’s fucked our season.
Really?

No doubt it has unsettled the team but im not so sure its all on him.

Prior to him coming, we got pumped by Gronkos. We then got pumped first half by Raiders and made a come back, then made a come back against Roosters who arent good then we got pumped against the Phins

He joins us, we win against Parra in a scrappy game, another scrappy win against Rabbits then a loss in one of th best games of the season(depending on who you talk to). Then last weeks choke job which we should have won.

If were honest we having been playing well long before Galcin came to the club.

Im with Brent read, our spine isnt winning the comp. Probably not winning with Galvin too, but he has way more upside than Sexton, he just does.

Having said that, CC needs to either shit can Toby and fo Galvin or play Galvin in NSW cup. Carrying Galvin in the bench isnt gunna work

Yep the problem doesn’t magically disappear next year.

Cope

id need more time to call it. Its probably not fair to associate our form with his arrival yet, since what also started around the same time as him coming, was origin. We are not nearly as good with our best players out. Especially Critta. Hes good at dragging us up if we get behind.

It seems that way at this stage.
Can't see him as a 1 tho?
Anything could happen down the track.
Burto could go over to NFL for all we know lol
Burton is definitely excess in our playing roster.

He probably holds onto one of the halves spots next year as Woods is blended in, but if i was CC, i would tell Burton's manager to start looking for 2027 onwards....

We have a premiership to win guys.

If we can trade Burton for a top FB, we bloody well should.

See what transpires.
Dont be dragging me into anymore player controversies lol

Why?
Why cant it be Burton.

If Woods is earmarked to be our future HB, wouldn't it make better sense to allow Galvin to make the 5/8th spot his own and simply shift Burton to HB?

I mean lets face it, all he's good at is kicking....with the occasional good run.

May as well just be team organiser and let Galvin play off the cuff without the pressure of running the team.

I dont even known what that means lol, too cool for me champ with your flash harry lingo.

But if it means what i think it means, not that i give a fark, but you are the one that should "cOpE". Melting down all over the place LOL
Parra game we were always running over the top of them. Souths game we blew them off the park and Galvin did look promising until he completely shit the bed. Panthers game was a complete bottle job with the highlight moment being Galvin conceding a line break almost immediately after coming on and then Burton booting the shit out of the ball into a one legged Cleary. Broncos game was just Galvin making a million errors.

We might not have been playing excellent footy prior to Galvins arrival but we were running like a well oiled machine with everyone knowing and executing their role. Galvins arrival however has completely fucked that. The bloke does not know the system, plays low percentage footy and Ciraldo has completely thrown the system out the window to accommodate him. Meanwhile he still refuses to play with enough fucking genuine middles ffs. Bro will flip years worth of work on its head but god forbid he plays a fucking prop at prop ffs
