Imagine a back 5 of Bula, Tracey, Kiraz, critta, xerri. You could carry 4 midget forwards on the bench and still run over 2000m a game :tearsofjoy: haha :p

Honestly I'd say he's overrated and the reported 900k they're asking for is laughable. Turns 24 in January too so he's not that young anymore either. Probably be better as an outside back.

he wouldn't cost much and is a better winger than Tuala and Wilson and can cover centre. There are not many options and u don't want to break the bank. What other better choices are there that can cover wing and centre

bit early to say tuala cant do a job as a back up. I dont think we need to bring more in, I would rather see our young guys get a run if not kiraz, crichton, xerri, montoyta, wilson, tuala. We have plenty of options

Disagree I think we need to recruit another quality winger and centre. Tuala is rubbish and the Cowboys will show him up tonight.
 
Id be giving Gagai an offer. Not signed by the knights. I know he is a Qld grub, but fuck he still runs hard and is a smart footballer. Would lead training for the young guys

I would say based on your post not one game. You clearly stated that Cows would "show him up" and that didn't happen. That equals post aged badly........

I think if we are looking for an outside back for depth I would go for Albert Hopoate

Last year he was starting to come good but got a couple of injuries, and now the other young Raider backs have overtaken him

Can play both centre and wing, is a big body, his sister plays at the Dogs and brother Will speaks highly of the club

With his family based in Sydney I'd think he would jump at the chance to come back to Sydney

Would be a good depth signing
 
I’ve been thinking we need someone else in this wing / centre cover for origin for next year at least. Someone that can push Montoya out for wing and we can give jethro another year developing (although he looked good already) and tuala as a cover option.

My realistic options looking around were either stonestreet, Sean Russell (I know we hate the eels) and or Albert Hopoate. Kind of leant towards stonestreet as he is not first choice winger at sharks and I would prefer we could get someone with pace but quality overall not like Wilson so thought stonestreet would be that from what I’ve seen.

Hopoate is an interesting one was first choice a year or two ago and then few injuries and form to others and now nowhere to be seen for raiders

Sloan would be a great buy and wouldn’t cost that much. Is the second leading try scorer this year and can sure finish a try. I reckon we could grab him for 350-400k as not many clubs if any are after him.
