Thaiday Calls Time
Fri 6 Jul 2018, 11:27 AM
SAM Thaiday has today confirmed 2018 will be his last season in the NRL – and he has done it in his own individual way.

Thaiday today did a community visit to a Wesley Mission Queensland retirement village, Wheller On The Park, in the Brisbane suburb of Chermside.

While there he took the opportunity to formally announce his retirement from the game, effective at the end of this season.

First it was Parker and Hodges, now Thaiday.

One less (original) cat in the game.... if Cronk fucks off, that just leaves Slater and Smith.

Slater is considering retiring end of this year, and that would leave Smith as the only turd left to step in on the field.

Not a shock.

He was told last year his contract wouldn't be renewed.

He should have retired about 2 - 3 years ago.

Well past his due date, but in saying that I actually don't mind thaiday. When those people were calling him names including monkey, gorilla etc, he just laughed it off and found the humour in it, instead of having a huge sook like Adam pansy Goodes, who actually sat out and got the "Australian of the year" award after a teenage girl called him a monkey. Must have been a bit to close to home

I saw him in the Cas in Melbourne a few years ago. Not a bad guy, but has said really stupid things (ie, losing virginity for the first time :tonguewink::tonguewink::tonguewink:).

They harp on about the big 3 big 4 but this bloke was a solid contributor to the Maroons dynasty
