Bahahahaha.....the Australian are doing a number on Burgess big time.
I just read the articles in the Weekend Australian. Those scumbags at Souffs clearly have the NRL in their pocket.

Anyway Burgess has denied all. The NRL integrity unit, who are luckly to tie their shoelaces in the morning, will no doubt accep Souffs denials and find no case to answer.

How much did our club get fined over the mad Monday nude up again? Something much less serious than the former and new allegations againt Burgess.
Not only that, but we had the usual conga line of outraged female journalists taking turns telling us how disgustingly awful and misogynistic the Dogs are. Not a peep about Sam.

Shows how much the media sets the narrative in this country.

I'm not sure on that one. But between that, the two getting arrested in the US and this series of cover-ups with Burgess, it paints a poor picture of their honesty.
Oh and don't forget the Aaron Gray and Dylan Walker drug overdose using drugs that were not even prescribed for them

and the the Inglis DUI...........

Have they swept it under the rug yet?

No doubt there is not much room under that rug after all the other.. ahem.... discrepancies that have been par for the course at Souffs over the years......

This has the potential to get extremely messy but I guess we just have to wait and see exactly what other evidence comes to light and what the others involved say.........

The thing that annoys me most is the outrage from the Sooffs fans who are of the belief that this is being used to rail road their finals run....don't let normal justice get in the way of things now...

Found something buried. Very low priority now.

Justifying why they'll let it die off until brave Sam can go into rehab, the Dr is paid off to take the fall and the ex missus is painted in a negative light in whatever way possible... should be wrapped up nicely by early January.

Solly and a few others were grilled heavily way back when things originally surfaced ( other issues that is) and has been at the club since 2016.

Meanwhile Paul Crawley has written an article stating how good a gamble it was for Souths to cover up the Cody Walker kicking drunken incident earlier this year... Imagine if that was us given what Burgess has done lol. We self report and get fucked either way

Really? Crawley is an arsewipe. He tees off on plenty of clubs for miniscule shit yet drops to his knees when Souths are involved. Hopefully be able to find a link for that article.

Medical watchdog launches formal investigation into conduct of Rabbitohs club doctor

The NSW medical watchdog has begun formal inquiries after receiving a complaint about the conduct of Rabbitohs club doctor Dr Andrew McDonald, following allegations levelled against him last week.

The Australian newspaper published an article last week which outlined a number of serious allegations of drug use and domestic violence against Sam Burgess.

In the report, Dr McDonald was accused of allegedly treating Burgess during a drug-fuelled episode in 2018 by injecting him with liquid tranquilliser.

Dr McDonald was also accused of obtaining the tranquilliser through a prescription allegedly written in the name of Mitchell Hooke, Phoebe Burgess's father.

"We have a formal complaint and have commenced inquiries to gather details of the specific allegations and all associated evidence," a spokeswoman for the Health Care Complaints Commission said. "This will enable us to determine what is alleged to have occurred and what further action is required."
The complaint was launched by the watchdog Commissioner Sue Dawson herself after conducting initial inquires into the allegations.
“The Commission has an active “own motion” complaint which allows the Commission to examine all of the allegations raised and the role and actions of any health service providers who may be involved," the spokeswoman said.
This motion sees Ms Dawson become the complainant herself and allows the HCCC to commence a full assessment of the allegations.
The HCCC now have a 60-day window to assess the complaint before making a determination on what further action will be taken.

If the HCCC decide to proceed with the investigation, the estimated timeframe is one to two years before a determination is made.
The Medical Board of NSW will make a call on whether Dr McDonald will be suspended or will need to practise under supervision while the HCCC investigation is underway.

On Tuesday, the medical watchdog said they had commenced "initial" inquiries but had not yet received an official complaint.
With a formal complaint now lodged, the NRL said they will now work in with the HCCC as well as the NSW Police.

The NRL also said the complaint did not change their current stance on Dr McDonald and he would still be allowed to work for the club.
Dr McDonald declined to comment when contacted by the Herald on Thursday.
The Rabbitohs said Dr McDonald would still remain as an independent contractor to the club in his role as Chief Medical Officer, despite the complaint.
The HCCC will also investigate the role of a GP who was left unnamed in the Australian's report.
In Phoebe Burgess' statement to police, as reported by the Australian, she alleged she drove her then-husband to an underground carpark in Sydney’s southeast on November 7 in 2018 to have private urine and blood tests taken.

She alleged she was told the GP who took Sam’s blood and urine samples would file the pathology results under the alias Ben Smith.
NSW Police and the NRL integrity unit have launched separate investigations into the allegations.
Burgess has stood down from his role as a coaching assistant with the Rabbitohs while the investigations are ongoing.

Now this is what real journalism looks like. Love it. Burgess.. nothing but a junkie and low life dog.

Problem with Sam is the people around him tell him his shit dont stick. All his mum cared about when he was ODing was how if this got out to the media, it would damage his brand and earning capacity. Even his doctor felt the same and probably Russell Crowe too. He is nothing but a pawn.

I might be wrong, but the fact souffs are standing by the Doc might indicate what we all suspect, that he was following orders. HCCC will certainly be asking him to explain how exactly he came to do what he did.

Would be great if this doctor was the bloke who signed off on the fake Inglis and Burgess medical retirements and the Rabbitohs filth are left to wallow in their own muck for the next decade.
Would be another reason for souffs to stick by him, the worse things end up for the doc the worse things end up for them. Very messy.

The messier the better! That shithole club has been untouchable for too long, since Rusty poked his snout in.
Hope the hammer drops savagely and repeatedly on The Pride.

It probably won't happen but I would love to see Crowe implicated in this and for him get 30 foot of grunt kicked out of him by the NRL.
Based on the text messages Phoebe sent and with what Sam replied, you have to assume Crowe and the club are implicated.
See the initial article.
PB to RC - he is now being led by his elder brother on a trail of booze, heavy drugs...
SB to PB - I am at work today fixing the club and now they think I'm a drug addict...
That tells me Crowe knew and someone at the club knew of the allegations specifically in regard to Sam's drug use

The bit that doesn't make sense to me is if Phoebe Burgess drove him to the garage...wouldn't that mean that she was complicit in the whole thing? Also why should she need someone to tell her what happened to the samples if she was there?

It depends on what the NRL's definition of being "part of the cover up" extends too. If some of the players knew of Sam's antics and said nothing, I doubt they could be held accountable for that. However if any lol@souffs execs/admin/staff knew or Crowe knew and said nothing, they could be in much bigger trouble for NOT reporting it as they have an obligation to do so. And that's where the punishments will get very heavy.
