If JJ reacted with good intentions he would have crossed the chalk since the gap was so big, but it took him a few seconds to realise the gap opened and that delay killed it off.

Well we didn’t expect them to be worse than last year. At the minimum we thought they’d be the same but not worse.
It’s three rounds into the season. It takes time to shake up the way a team does things. Especially when bad habits are ingrained into a team and there are new players in three out of four spine positions. Way too early to say we are worse than last year. I am starting to think letting Tolmsn go was a mistake though. Better than any of our current props (excluding Thompson)
