Just Storm trying to have their cake and eat it. Wanted Papi cheap, then hold Faalago to ransom by only releasing for a rep player in exchange and or loaning him out.
Storm get so much assistance from the NRL and pull shit like this regularly. I hope no club helps them reach such demands and forces them to make hard decisions

As much as I despise them, Storm kinda deserve to keep him, they stuck through with him when he had all those injury setbacks.

I feel what your saying. But loyalty isn't a thing anymore for your club. It's about loyalty to the dollar for the fam bam.
 
So Melbourne will low ball at first then last minute give in to Papsmear demands, or....

When they won the gf yea true. But surely he's not far off being his best again or even better. He's only 26 heaps of time to get that confidence back from the injurys.
 
Paps is a genuine rock star fullback tbh. I like Tracey. He is good, but doesn’t put fear into the opposition when attacking their line like Paps. Paps overcoming his horrific injury is also admirable. Add Hunt and Paps to our spine and we winning the trophy. Tracey can play wing or centre. Still offers a lot on an edge.

Edit - Apparently Storm offered 3mil/3 years and then drastically reduced their offer. Who knows if true, but Storm supporters don’t want to lose him. He is the finished article, unlike Faalogo, who has a high ceiling, but is no certainty to end up better than Paps.
 
I would assume 80% of clubs would be interested in Paps. Very dynamic player with loads of speed, wonder what hes stats are regarding carries per game etc
 
If we can make the finals with Tracey at fullback surely we can afford to take the risk on having one luxury Ferrari in Paps similar to what Manly have with Turbo. Tracey can play wing in place of JAC and step back to fuillback if Paps ever goes down so we'd be no weaker than we were this year with Tracey at 1

If JAC is gone we're going to need another speedster in the backs
 
Would he suit our style of play? Back 3 making metres is essential.
