Ukraine's military said in an update that Russian forces, "disguised in civilian clothes, occupy the premises of civilians and strengthen positions inside for conducting street battles".
Maybe trying to suck them in ,wouldn't be suprised Russia set a few of its own for cannon fodder gets them fighting in streets ,then just bomb the fuck out of the city, don't think Ukraine will be falling for any tricks
Saw those comments a few days ago, but haven't seen this today. Maybe?

As you say though, Ukraine isn't stupid so whatever Russia is doing they'll know.

What I find interesting is that the generals are the ones who announced the withdrawal. Up until now it's been Putin stating everything, which seems to be him throwing the generals under the bus and preparing his future excuses / scapegoats.

As Ukraine creeps further and further forward they're getting closer and closer to Crimea with their HIMARS.

Putin will have a really important choice soon as soon as Ukraine gets within HIMARS distance of Crimea it's game over for them. Which makes today's official withdrawal even more interesting?

Falling back to strenghten their defence perhaps, but it's going to hit their morale VERY hard and everyone knows that the Russian army can't plan shit so the retreat will be a mess without doubt!

Will be intersting what happens over the next few days.

What I'd say is important to look out for is Russia starting to call for negotiations as they'll want to keep Crimea. That's what I expect to happen as they're fucked without some type of negotitated peace.

Won't happen till Ukraine gets Crimea back though, that's for sure.

Good old Russia.

So, they publically tell them world they're retreating from Kherson. Interesting tactic, but ok.

However, they fail to inform 1000s of front line troops in Kherson. The result?

Apparently over 10000 troops are now stuck on the right side of the river waiting to be slaughtered by the Ukraine army ...

Will they surrender? Or is it going to be a turkey shoot?

A bunch of them are demanding that Biden be impeached. The irony is that these candidates are being supported by Russia.
Who could ever see the day where GOP Americans would idolise Russian leadership and openly support them and not be part of the previous hysteria against Russian "commies"....the place has gone crazy.

MTG is a nutter. An elected politician calls their President a piece of shit lol. Mind blowing.

Dumbest thing is she just got re-elected.

Just how dumb are they in America??????
Just hope and pray we don't become that dumb here in Australia.

Now that Murdoch has turned on Humpty Trumpty, it will be interesting to see how the GOP, and Trumpists handle it and where they go from here. Donny will try and drag them all down with him.

Much to report Tassie
Significant? Hard to say.

Kherson and all the right side of the river is Ukraine and there's reports they've already crossed the river to the left side which is pretty big.

The key will be when Ukraine can set up HIMARS in Kherson and start hitting supply lines further towards Crimea. A part of that will be Ukraine creating a buffer zone on the left of the river to Russian artillery can't hit them so this could be a while? Though, if they're already on the other side who knows?

Russia has already been moving their fighter jets and helicopters out of range for this reason and creating a greater defensive line in Crimea so this is perhaps a pretty big sign that they don't expect to hold the line closer to Kherson.

There's been massive unrest within the Russian ranks because of Kherson as the mobilised are pissed because they're continually being thrown to the wolves with absolutely nothing. 1000s of mobilised died in this region for absolutely nothing. On the other hand, professional soldiers are pissed for giving up ground.

Putin has stepped back completely from this, allowing the generals to take all the heat and I think is the start of him setting up a post war future for him. Remember that it was only 6 weeks ago that he was saying that Kherson will be Russian forever ... Russians know there's no way they can win this war. It just isn't possible. Never was.

Putin's lapdog Lavrov is in Bali at the G20. I'd expect him trying to gain sympathy from the world and push for some terms to be created playing the line that it's in the best interests of all that Ukraine stops attacking and no more people need to die ... Ukraine won't stop till they have Crimea, there's absolutely no doubt about that and the Western World, apart from Hungary, will help them get that.

Over the next few days will be interesting as if we see Ukraine gain a foothold on the left side of the river in Kherson then they'll push onto Crimea really quickly thanks to HIMARS.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an offensive elsewhere by Ukraine though.

Have been reading quite a bit in MSM on the war. Clearly don’t need to do that anymore. Will just come here for the Tassie Devil update!!

Seems to be confirmed that ukriane has crossed the river from Kherson onto the left side which is pretty interesting. Ukraines aren't fucking about but we'll see if they can hold the line.

Russia is apparently staging some counter offensives north but no significant gains.

Russia getting fucked in the war so what do they do? Apparently one of the biggest days of bombing in the war all targetting civil infrastructure.

It's all they've got. People civilians.

Why they're not bombing supply lines etc is beyond me?
