Must be said that Russia is learning tho from their humiliating earlier defeats. It's obvious no land army of Russia's is going to take over any countries by force.
All they have is airborne. Missiles, nukes, drones, planes. If you nullify that Russia is toothless. So the world, in particular Europe, should invest heavily in setting up a line of impenetrable air defence across Ukraine. It would protect most of Europe from Russia. And of course that includes NATO countries which brings other countries into needing to invest in it.
Retreating from Kherson which is massive for Ukraine but they've created a really good defensive line on the left of the river with multiple lines.
I'd imagine they'll have targeted artillery sights on the right side of the river when ukriane potentially comes in ... If they do that is.
Also got Belarus to bluff Ukraine by fainting attack to the north. It's better from Russia.
Will be interesting seeing what happens next tactically. Does Ukraine attack in an entirely different region? How will they clear Russia off that left side?
What's clear is that Ukraine has the initiative and power in the field with Russia simply trying to stop the advance.
They key element is the will of those fighting. More and more mobilised men are refusing to fight. Statistically some divisions of mobilised men have lost more than 80% of their soldiers which is unbelievable.
Not sure it matters what Russia does, they just don't have enough men anymore? Well, not enough fighting men.
Hence why the rockets and drone but more and more Ukraine has adapted and is now shooting a higher percentage of these rockets/drones down before they hit civilian targets.
It's going to be an interesting week I think, especially around the Kherson region.
