They aren't scared of Murika anymore. Plus Murika is imploding on its own.
no, the Russians aren't scared... in fact, there is a lot of triumphalism and belligerents and outright disdain for the West coming through from Russians which is worrying

for example, from Dmitry Medvedev's Telegram channel -->

you have Nancy Pelosi's Asian visit where Taiwan was deliberately omitted from her itinerary after China warned Biden that they were playing with fire, there was violence overnight on the Serbia-Kosovo border and one of the biggest US bases is in Kosovo, the Iraq Parliament has been stormed, Ukraine has adopted laws providing Poles similar/same rights as Ukrainians in Ukraine, Germany is rationing energy, Italy is in trouble having lost its PM, Greece and Turkey seem to be edging towards a clash, Yemen war, Britain has in effect stolen Venezuela's gold reserves in England worth about $1 billion, Bosnian Croats have threatened to cut out their own entity in Bosnia or breakaway entirely, Syria is being occupied with the US stealing their oil, the Iran nuclear deal has stalled and the US and Israel have agreed to work together and prevent Iran from getting the bomb etc.

as much as I have enjoyed Biden f*%#ing everything up, the world needs some competency from Washington

"Fell out"

Reminds me of the bloke that committed suicide by stabbing himself 14 times in the back before hanging himself...

Made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Whole families of Russian oligarchs and business people have died mysteriously or outright murdered since Ukraine War.

Incredible scenes right now in this Ukraine advance / offensive.

Quite remarkable how far they've gone in and seem to be going in more. Will be interesting seeing what the next few days bring as clearly the momentum is with Ukraine

Bravo Ukraine!

Hungary’s Orban says EU sanctions on Russia have failed

Hungary leader calls for Russia and the United States to hold negotiations to bring about an end to the Ukraine war.

The European Union needs a new strategy on the war in Ukraine as punitive sanctions against Moscow have not worked, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.

“A new strategy is needed which should focus peace talks and drafting a good peace proposal … instead of winning the war,” Orban said in a speech in Romania on Saturday.

Orban, reelected for a fourth consecutive term in April, reiterated that Hungary – a NATO member – would stay out of the war in neighbouring Ukraine.

He is facing his toughest challenge since taking power in 2010, with inflation in double digits, a weak forint currency and EU funds still held up amid a dispute with Brussels about democratic standards.

Orban has said before that Hungary is unwilling to support EU embargoes or limitations on Russian gas imports as that would undermine its economy, which relies heavily on Russian gas imports.

He said in his speech that the Western strategy on Ukraine has been built on four pillars – that Ukraine can win a war against Russia with NATO weapons, that sanctions would weaken Russia and destabilise its leadership, that sanctions would hurt Russia more than Europe, and that the world would line up in support of Europe.

Orban said this strategy has failed as governments in Europe are collapsing “like dominoes”, energy prices have surged and a new strategy was needed now.

“We are sitting in a car that has a puncture in all four tyres: it is absolutely clear that the war cannot be won in this way,” Orban told his supporters.

He said Ukraine will never win the war this way “quite simply because the Russian army has assymetrical dominance”.

Orban called for Russia and the United States to hold negotiations to bring about an end to the war.

He said “only Russian-US talks can put an end to the conflict because Russia wants security guarantees” only Washington can give.

He also criticised Western leaders for ignoring Russia’s security concerns before Moscow invaded.

“With US President [Donald] Trump and German chancellor [Angela] Merkel, this war would never have happened,” he said.

Orban is an idiot in Putin's pocket

Loving seeing all the Russians running scared. Love it.

Two things that were early quite clear:

1) Russian troops don't have the will to fight. Ukraine do.

2) Sanctions have been working. Russia buying military equipment from Korea is an example

"Some pretty incredible things have been happening in Ukraine over the past 72 hours.

After commencing what appeared to be the first attempt at a counter offensive near Kherson, it turns out the primary objective of this offensive was to draw Russian troops away from the Kharkiv Oblast front.

The swift and effective advances by the Ukrainian Army on this front has taken everyone by surprise, particularly the Russians who are now publicly admitting a "tactical regrouping" (it's a panicked retreat).

The towns of Izyum and Kupyansk have been liberated after months in Russian control, and crucial rail lines that supply the entire Russian Army from the north have been cut off.

I believe the last two days have probably been the most consequential since the War began, the Russian Army is in serious trouble, and they have never looked weaker. After months of stalmate, big things could happen over the next month.

One thing not being discussed openly is the role the US is playing in this, I believe it's being under reported.

The Ukrainian troops are being trained by the US, they have designed their divisions to mirror US Army ones, their tactics are straight out of West Point, and this offensive simply wouldn't be possible without US intelligence.

But this should not distract from the crucial difference that falls in the favour of the Ukrainian Army - the desire to fight.

This is a mainly volunteer Army, but they are fighting to defend their homes and their family - the Russian soldiers are being asked to risk their life for what they know is a lie.

Stay tuned to this corner of the World... history is happening."

Azerbaijan is shelling the entire border with Armenia ...

Absolute madness from the very beginning thinking they'd take Ukraine so quickly and the people would support them.

- NATO resolve strengthened.
- Finland and Sweden join NATO which means Russia needs to defend more of its borders.
- Massive sanctions have crippled them.
- Russian ally Azerbaijan now getting attacked so their army further stretched.
- Ukraine wiping the battlefield and advancing upon Crimea

Love to see. The affect this has on china is also massive
