Roger Tuivasa-Sheck may have at least one NRL contract on the table for next season, Sir John Kirwan reported on Sky’s The Breakdown on Sunday night.

The former Daley M (the NRL’s MVP award) winner could elect to leave rugby union should he continue to struggle for meaningful minutes on the All Blacks‘ northern tour.

The Blues midfielder earned an All Blacks selection in his debut Super Rugby campaign but has managed to take the field just twice on the international stage, both being in short appearances off the bench.

The panel were discussing consistency in selection when Kirwan revealed the “whisper”:

“Little whisper is that there is a contract on the table for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck back at the Roosters,” Kirwin said. “If he feels at the end of the northern tour that maybe…”

The panel then speculated that there would be more than one contract on offer if NRL clubs sniffed a potential return for the star fullback.
______

He's been bog average since leaving us and I know the article mentions us, but we won't be moving Teddy, so he'd be a handy pick up for someone. He's only 29 and could have a couple of good years left in him?

Yeah there's no way the Roosters will get him with Teddy/Manu/Sualli who all want to play fullback.. That's just typical lazy/sensationalist journalism..

It'd be great to have RTS back in the NRL. He wasn't great with the Warriors but he was still decent and he was surrounded by absolute shit..

You'd think the Warriors, Dolphins and other bottom clubs with a tonne of cap space would all be after him. I'd love it if we could sign him but doubt we'd have the money unless we moved Thompson or TPJ on.

It’s probably a BS rumour but how good are the roosters. Honestly could sign any player at any time.. Manu to 5/8 Suali’i and RTS in the centres.:tearsofjoy:

Imagine if he didn't make the move to the Warriors?
He'd probably still be the best fullback in the game and Teddy would still be underperforming at the tigpies or would've come over to the dogs and won a premiership :p

Heard from my roosters mate a few weeks ago that this could be on the cards... I don't see how Roosters could afford him unless he takes massive unders and he is happy to play wing/centre.

IF it comes down to money than the Dolphins and Tigers are the only two real clubs who could offer him anywhere over a million $ considering both clubs are publicly voicing that they'd be prepared to pay Munster upto $1.3 a season.
