OFFICIAL | POST-GAME Round 9 | Post game | Bulldogs vs Tigers

It's a ridiculous idea, why severe those conversations for the sake of starting them somewhere else. It's pointless.
I tend to agree. I thought it was a good idea, yet not sure what value it adds, if anything a little confusion

What happened to preston? Saw his name on final team list but dont remember seeing him on field

Sezer proved to me today we shouldn’t go anywhere near him. Not that we are, just saying the talk about him should probably cease.

It is bizarre how Tigers ended up with two Raiders rejects who wanted to go to England. Mercenaries who came back for one last pay day.

Yeah I’m not sure I agree. There has been a bit said about Casey’s officiating on the forum. I think she’s clear and she calls out the grubby stuff. She’s probably not ready for origin but she’s far from the worst ref in the comp.

She lost control of the match early on. Had several Tigers come at her aggressively and let it go. Paid for it in the end with the way they misbehaved late in the game. Wasn’t she demoted after her last game for us? Or was it her last game but different teams?

Not this again.

I am a woman & maybe it's how I was raised. It goes over my head.

Yep, I swear like a wharfie.

I have seen the same language used on the male refs. But no one posts about them.

It's not just aggressive from males, females can be aggressive to men.

Just because they call a female ref a cahunt etc doesn't mean the treat their wife's or GF's like shit.

I find it offensive that there are no safe places for men who are suffering DV, in QLD or NSW.
Good for you. No problem with your personal views....you've made it abundantly clear in other matters. The language is not the same for inept male refs tho. This today was just totally off the charts pinpoint sexully directed unnecessary insults. Bag her for her incompetence but swearing like a ratbag wharfie is not appropriate on a public forum in this day and age.

I don't feel the need to be using those derogatory, sexists terms on a public forum where Bulldogs supporters can be judged for unnecessary disgraceful language.

Ref and bunker were extremely poor but certainly not the worse we've had against us yet reading the comments you'd imagine she'd sent 6 of our players off.

There must be some sort of decent standards of behaviour and language IMO.

No need to say anymore.
Except what did Taaffe do wrong today(spoiler, I haven't watched the game as yet)
He had a decent game, but he is not Tracy. He actually had the most run metres for our whole team, 17 runs for 168 metres. He made zero errors and gave no penalties. He isn't a tackle breaker like Tracy is, and I think that is frustrating some, but it isn't his game, when he does a kick return his aim is clearly to use his footwork to get between players, get a quick tackle face down, and quick PTB. He did very well with that this game, and didn't get muscled and shoved back by the defense. Also came in for some 4th tackle hitups with the same aim and usually the same result, decent PTB speed and some advantage to our kicker.

Other than that he played it pretty safe, does look lost when he chimes in on our left side spreads, very much a right sided player.

Not many teams fly out of the blocks after a bye... Knew we would win second half.

Need a full 80 next week.

I had the same feeling that we would get them in the 2nd half and win

Jac has always been ordinary coming out of our own end, but he seems to be getting worse I thought when he beefed up in the offseason he would be better but it’s been the opposite. It’s been smothered a bit with Tracy at FB but it’s really noticeable with Taffe back there .

Tbf I thought most of our backs looked sluggish. Xerri when supporting JAC after Burto chipped it for him on halftime should have run away I thought, but he was running like it was a wet track. The bye almost cost us tbh.

It is frankly disgusting, she actually made plenty of good calls. I was worried going into the game after last round, but objectively she did well relative to the average ref performance. What's more we won, we didn't cop any terrible calls except for the one by Sutton, and it was the Tigers that blew up and rightfully got sat down by the ref.

The only reason for anyone to go off at the ref is because she is a she, and any blokes engaged in that kind of bias need to grow up.
702AM said the tigers players were really bad against her, no mention of Bulldogs players.

But she still is a shit ref, whatever her gender.

can’t agree more she coped off it the tigers players and had enough she warned them she did a good job
It was a very tough game to ref with 2 very desperate teams. She isnt the best ref (who is tho) and was not as inept as some are saying (by comparison to the other useless lot we come up against).

You can’t be serious? The language isn’t the same for inept male reffs???? :tongueclosed: :tongueclosed: :tongueclosed: :tongueclosed:

That game wasn't a train wreck. The ref has had some poor games, her game last week was one of them for sure, but relative to other refs (particularly junior ones) she is doing fine. You've stated your position, and that's fine, but just consider that having made your stance you may now be biased into looking for a problem that doesn't always exist, and calling this game a train wreck from a reffing point of view is an exaggeration. The game against sharks was much worse from an officiating point of view.

As has been revealed in this forum she had Gerard Sutton in her ear the whole game, that is a lot for anyone to deal with while they are reffing NRL...

The female refs are here to stay, try to be even handed in your analysis of them (the ref today actually made a lot of good calls, but perhaps you didn't notice), and enjoy our win today.

You also entitled to your opinion but I must’ve been watching a different game to you if you didn’t think that wasn’t hard to to watch.

Players were intimidating her and she completely lost the game on a number of occasions. If she or any referee can’t make a decision on the field immediately and rely on the bunker referee to guide them then they shouldn’t be officiating.

I’ll say it again Women referees should only referee women games before one is severely hurt.

Go back and look at all of the hip drop sin bins so far this season, they've all been checked by the bunker and the on field ref relies on the bunker ref to tell them what action to take. Same thing happened here, no different to what is standard.
The ref can send someone without conferring with the bunker. just because they always do, doesn’t mean it’s the bunkers call.

The gameday thread will come to an end by its own volition anyway as the new weeks gameday thread appears.

Yeah that run was a bit deceptive Staines is very quick.
