OFFICIAL | POST-GAME Round 9 | Post game | Bulldogs vs Tigers

She lost control of the game full stop. I was critical of her during the game because she had no idea at times what she was about to call and that has fuck all to do with her being a female , she is a terrible referee. So spare us the confected outrage.

I made a similar comment in the game thread, she is no where near being in the best 8 NRL referees available to ref 1st grade.

If she is seriously good enough and better than all the other men (or woman) then good luck to her, she deserves it. But she is nowhere near it.

He looked fine coming on last match at halfback. Like I said when we signed him though he's an average player. Something needs to happen at halfback though, too many times does the ball for with Hutcho when it needs to go wide. Not sure if Taaffe is the answer though.

Neither are... Hayward played a BIG chunk at FR today sharing the duties and did ok whilst Sexton looked decent in NSW cup. Its working for now as frustrating as it is.

All i know is its a big Saturday night party for now and CC can sort his shit out on Monday.

Six correct captains challenges doesn’t say something to you about the standard of the officiating?
There was 4, and that is what they are for. If teams didn't blow them early like we so often do there would be more successful challenges in other games, because the refs get it wrong multiple times in every game. I'm one of the first to point out plainly bad officiating, but the ref in this game wasn't responsible for any particular howlers, just the usual human error that we can hope is limit to most games.

The worst decision of the game was Sutton not binning Sezar, Tigers got a massive call their way on that one. We actually got some rare penalties go our way, how many times have we had one of our players bumped off the play like Xerri was in the 2nd half and yet get no penalty?

Maybe you should consider that you've miscounted the number of successful challenges, let alone what they are for, as being influenced by bias?

I think he will roll with sexton before Taffe
Who knows, Sexton had a good game but the opposition wasn't much. Definitely offers more with the ball in hand and has a genuine shirt kicking game which is something we lack right now.

I thought she was as fair a ref as we’ve had in a long time. We could argue a couple of calls (Sezer not being sin binned for one) but overall I thought she managed a tense game pretty well. I can imagine the NRL calling all coaches this week to remind their players that mouthing off to a female ref is never going to be a great look but especially not now.
Yup, and that wasn't even her call, it was Sutton in the bunker.

Gerard Sutton is a disgrace. He's bias against the Dogs is now at silly levels. He actually made Casey Badger look terrible. The decision to not bin Sezer for a text-book hip drop is ridiculous.....and whilst it didn't affect the outcome, it certainly could have.

And what we'll get from Annesley is just deflection and apology when Sezer gets suspended. Just like when Sutton "overlooked" the deliberate professional foul from Tass on Good Friday. Again, Sutton at his best.

But you aren’t allowed to be critical because she’s female Baz ?? I thought she was terrible before this game and nothings changed . And that’s got nothing to do with what’s in her pants.

We'll beat Penrith with our Morrin/JAC 1, 2 punch off the kick offs
I desperately want to rate Morrin but man his hit ups are ineffective. Haven’t looked at his stats so happy to be proven wrong but I would guess his post contact metres would be pretty low compared to other props, he just isn‘t big enough and gets stopped in his tracks more often than not, and doesn’t really have an offload to make up for it.

A win is a win. For once we got some calls our way and lucky that the tigers players lost the plot, I think that Bateman is a total tool - was last week against the broncos and good to see he followed it up this week.

Kikau, Crichton, Burton, mahoney led from the front. Great to see the line speed in defence was kept up till the 80th minute. We have a lite pack so good to see that we are using it to our advantage.

Tracey offers so much more, doesn't get ragdolled like Taafe. That first half we were getting steamed rolled with our returns.

Shout outs to Morrin, Salmon, Currran and Hayward. Held up the middle and didn't get steamed rolled in the 2nd half.

Litmus test will be the panthers.

There was six .
There were 5 challenges in total, with 1 unsuccessful

19th minute - Tigers successful challenge
26th minute - Tigers successful challenge
47th minute - Dogs successful challenge, that was the Kiraz one and from the angles it looks like the ref was unsighted, precisely the reason the challenge exists.
77th minute - Dogs unsuccessful challenge
80th minute - Tigers successful challenge, and on that occasion our players were screaming that he dropped the ball, and the touchie provided the call.

Jac is way less affective than Morrin coming out of our end.

This game pissed me off so I don't want to talk about it much but Taaffe was noticeably bad. I think he really struggles to get involved with Burton playing both sides compared to when he was at fullback earlier in the season.
I thought the same. Taaffe is f..king average. Should be considered our 3rd option only after Tracey and Papalii, Crichton isn't a fullback.

I like Xerri but I think he might have blown another try early in the game by failing to pass to an unmarked JAC. It worries me he's becoming another Schoupp (ball hog and reluctant to pass). Hope Ciraldo or someone else has a word in his ear about it.

If we continue to play like we did today we'd be better off with Skelton in place of JAC
