The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have made one positional change for their match-up with the Dragons at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium this Sunday (4:00PM).
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been named at fullback, with Nick Meaney named to play his 50th NRL game on the wing.
Dylan Napa has recovered from a knock to the shoulder and will start in the front row, while Lachlan Lewis will come on to the extended bench after an excellent display in Mounties' 34-20 victory over Paramatta last Sunday.

I don't mind the change to put DWZ back at fullback as he offers far more impact than Meaney there..

I know Baz is limited with who he can bring in right now but surely Renouf has earned a start, or Ava at least. Something has to change after how poor the team was in the first half. They better come out firing...

Smith missed a tonne of tackles on the edge. It's a shame Topine can't play til round 11 if Deitz plays as he'd be a far better starting option.

Meaney is a better fullback for us than DWZ, I don't care how "hard" DWZ returns the ball.
Meaney was good against Cronulla but he was shocking against Parra. He was getting dominated physically and was nowhere to be seen in attack. Plus his attempts at cover defence were pathetic.

DWZ is always shit on the wing and decent at fullback. Meaney is decent at fullback and better on the wing.

I don't see Meaney as a winger. If he can't hold down fb, he's better off leaving, unless near min wage back up . He is too light weight for wing and not aggressive or robust enough.

(And pls no one say that he is taller and heavier than Papenhausen :grinning:

I think those problems stand out more when he's at fullback. Especially when he isn't a great support player and barely makes half the metres or gets quick play the balls like DWZ does.

Meaney is a solid backup to keep if cheap enough. If not, they should let him go. I can't see him starting for many other teams, especially not at fullback.
