Unfortunately T Baz tried Lewis a few weeks ago and he lasted all of 5 minutes, Was going to play him half a game and off Lewis goes again injured. what luck, we are cursed.

Smith was absolutely horrible.. certainly not an edge backrower.. looks overweight and can't defend for shit. Elliott is an idiot.. gets in the way or runs the wrong angles.. he's like a retarded Corey Parker without the offload.. and again can't defend out wide. Waddell.. I thought he was going good then next thing he drops the ball cold twice attacking their line.. hands like feet that guy..

Atoni error - knock on (Katoa bad pass/no effort)
Atoni penalty - high tackle (frustration after knock on)
Bird draws Waddell (who slips over) and Atoni - 2 defenders, passes to an unmarked Dufty (Atoni and Elliott both beaten on their inside shoulder, Atoni only eyes for Bird, Elliott realises late that Dufty's unmarked, but can't get there in time)
Thompson and Katoa not showing enough desperation in cover defence (walking/light jogging)
DWZ probably could of done better defensively as last man

2nd try
Lewis good kick on the last (a 40/20 with the right bounce, also good kick chase)
Hopoate and Atoni lost the ruck - Sims fast play the ball
Atoni went wrong way at marker (Hunt dummy)
Dragons have a 4 on 3, Cotric comes in to hit centre (Averillo had him covered, so unnecessary) but Hunt passes to an unmarked winger

3rd try
Averillo kicks it out on the full (on reset after try)
Hopoate sin bin - escort in try scoring situation (masks it well so a little harsh, but more than likely on purpose)
Thompson didn't play for the obstruction (he just needed to run or touch the defender, probably still obstruction but Thompson needed to do more)

4th try *12 players on the field
Allan pushed over the sideline (not his fault, more of an individual/strength problem)
Cotric came in (no communication/not trusting Flanagan) when he didn't need to (Flanagan shifted when Smith was close enough to take the ball runner, our numbers were fine), another unmarked winger, Norman supported the play so DWZ was in a 1 on 2

So glad this team will be stripped right back and the majority of this playing roster won't be the future of our club.

But, I will always wear the Blue and White Bulldogs emblem no matter what.

Hi all, this is my first post although I've read almost everything on this forum for many years... You all have made valid points. Our problems stem from our forwards or lack thereof. The Bulldogs have always been praised and feared because our forwards and sadly no more.

The forwards had a reasonable game against the sharks and it was no coincidence that our named buys for this season showed a glimpse of what they offered to their former teams.

I guess all I want to say is that I wait in hope that we buy a rampaging forward or two to help Thompson and if BSmith is destined to wear the blue and white, our hooking position should show more mongrel and spark. Until then I don't think any of our backline will make a huge impression this season.

I hope we bet the saints on the weekend as I would love to give it to my dragon mates.
