https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/04/24/panthers-v-bulldogs-round-8-preview/

Slow starts didn't cost the Panthers in some of their earlier games but their inability to come out with guns blazing bit them on the backside in last week's loss to the Sharks, despite a strong finish.

Their only other defeat this season followed a similar script – a round three 20-18 loss to the Bulldogs.

The Panthers got it right in their round four thrashing of the Cowboys and coach Anthony Griffin would love to see some consistent 80-minute performances from his side. Revenge for the round three loss to
Canterbury should add to their motivation this week.

The Bulldogs again showed they can compete but they blew several scoring chances in last week's 6-0 loss to the Roosters, missing an opportunity to claim a big scalp.

They need to start winning if they plan on being a top eight contender.

Head-to-head: Played 93; Bulldogs 52 wins, Panthers 38 wins, 3 draws
Matches at venue: Played 45; Bulldogs 23 wins, Panthers 21 wins, 1 draw
2017 results: Panthers won 38-0 at ANZ Stadium in round 13 and 16-8 at Panthers Stadium in round 21
Points per game: Panthers 23.1; Bulldogs 14.7
Points conceded per game: Panthers 15.1; Bulldogs 20.9

Steve Turner's prediction:
The Panthers head into the clash with Canterbury off the back of a five-day turnaround and with a host of stars sidelined with injury as well as a defeat last weekend to the Sharks, the depth at the foot of the mountains will be tested once again against a desperate Bulldogs team looking to register their third win of the season. After failing to score a point last weekend against the Roosters, the spotlight will once again be on the Dogs attack. Canterbury did defeat the Panthers earlier in the season but if their attack doesn't fire, it could be win number six for the home side. I'm tipping an upset and Dogs by 8.

Changing the team wasnt the answer so no changes as expected. None of our lower graders are going better than the first graders anyway.

The answer for this year is time. Beyond that, it depends how the individual players go this year.

Groundhog day. If we dont win this game then THERE HAS TO BE CHANGES!!!!
Im ok with picking the same team to keep consistency so long as they show good form like they did against the cowboys, but if we put in another performance like last week i will probable need to buy a new tv.

I am so confused atm.

Why not:

6- Frawley
7-Foran
9-JMK

Replace hollands bench spot with To'Omaga, and put Jackson to lock.

Imo, that is our perfect team. Our defence has been sorted it seems, so frawley should be fine in 6, playing off JMK in 9 I think would see some nice attacking footy.
