Off course we played shit house dude. Sutton and Klein didn't help but once again Dean Dumbshit Gay has just proven to everyone why he is such a dumbshit
Whilst pay has to take responsibility but it’s not all on him. The 17 blokes out there are the ones that need to take the brunt of the criticism.

Well we've hit rock bottom, can we get any worse? I'm guessing yes and the shit most of these players showed today proves a lot of these players should be shown the door, how fucking hard is it to put in an effort and tackle and trying to pass in your own 20 with 3 players from the other team tackling you is just plain dumb.
I've never seen such shit from a bulldog team since I started supporting them, sick of the excuses also, everytime we lose Pay tries to find a positive, how about stfu and coach these players into good Fg players, should have held of on extending Pay's contract but no the board in their stupidity decided he's the one to instill the dogs of war back into the team, maybe he should sit the whole team down and make them watch the 84,85,86 team play and how they were the real dogs of war not these powderpuffs that are an embarrassment.

I AM ABSOLUTELY GUTTED, how dare those muppets call emselves "dogs of war", yeah right, more like "cats of bore", we'll be lucky to get the wooden spoon by the end of the competition for the performance we dished out today, they should hire a garbage truck and throw all the players in it, then tie up Dino that incompetent BASTARD, to the back of the truck and put the TRASH where they belong. Who's gonna pay for me medical bills for all the trauma these donkey's have inflected on my ASS, ANYONE THAT FINDS AN EXCUSE FOR THIS DESPICABLE PERFORMANCE HAS TO BE BRAIN DEAD, BLIND, RETARDED AND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT A WINNING MENTALITY IS.

Have not read any comments on this thread since game ended but I can only hazard a guess as to their direction.

Very disappointed with the effort today; many basic errors and completion rate down. Too many missed tackles and poor ball security gifted the Dragoons at least 8 extra sets.Stolen ball...just what is going on with that? Poor ball security or non adaptation to the new rules surrounding stripping of the ball......

The young blokes who stood up last week were back in the kennel today and it was nowhere near as steady a performance today . Don't know if it was because they were trying too hard or what.
I am afraid that mass changes will not benefit us as the Canterbury Cup team is suffering as well with poor form and what we have to offer there at the moment is no better than what we currently have in first grade.

These type of performances will roll around for us many times this year I am afraid and it is distressing to see us once again on the bottom of the table with such an atrocious for and against. The equalization of the table is a bit of a furphy. Have a look at the top four teams and there is only one there that we probably did not expect to be there. Same old same old in the top spots ; try to convince me that those sides are not stronger than they were last year due to retention and new signings. Is it good cap management or something else???? In any case the good old NRL will be happy that their glamour boys are once again leading the way. Hubby made the comment that sides who were perceived as trouble makers in the off season are not getting any favours in the competition proper...

Four competition points separate 8th from last but that is just an illusion as the gap between performance and ability is light years. The last seven teams will be in and around the same spots all year unless of course injury cruels the chances of those above them OR there is a miraculous form reversal.

One thing that is still a constant this year is ' game management'. I watched all the games this weekend and at times it was patently obvious that the officials had gotten a bit of a reminder that they needed to make the penalties a bit more equitable after making sure that they awarded penalties in clusters giving certain sides a leg up. The penalty for " escort" is now all the rage as is the possibility of penalty try, but this only means that the really basic rules relating to hands on the ball, offside and laying on the tackles player is pretty much being ignored or at least in the case of shall we say the sides that have it down to a fine art when it comes to ruck management...

Is it me or are the games pretty bland and boring this year? I don't think that there have been many entertaining or exceptional games this year or maybe finally the NRL has succeeded in dumbing the game down so much that the brand no longer has an appeal as it did in the past. Last year was a crappy year for us too but at least the footy was a bit more entertaining all round.

I will be at ANZ next Friday but I am not hopeful of a good outcome for us. I am tipping Gerard Sutton to make his return to the top spot for our game...and that will be another thing we need to contend with....One today's effort we can expect a quite substantial loss and that being the case a further nail in our coffin for 2019. It is my fervent wish that this does not happen but what can I think after today especially when I was looking for an effort much like last week where we fought until the end and fell at the last second. Our goose was cooked well before full time today...

What I don’t get is we push the offloads in our own red zones yet take useless hit ups in the opposition attacking zone.

Plz go figure please

I thought if you watched the replay we would have had a better result, maybe watch it in rewind and it's a nil all draw.

I thought we were horrible in missing 36 tackles, but how must Cleary feel with Penrith missing 67 tackles ............ against the Titans too :screamcat:

These results do not bother me one bit.

I expected these results last year as soon as we didnt re-sign the Morris boys along with the firesale circus, and i expect these results to follow through into next year as well.

Only the fans living in la la land, expected the Dogs to go unbeaten and win the premiership. *note sarcasm* Name me a club in the NRL with a roster worse than ours?!

My focus is on the recruitment and players we have coming through the lower grades as well as the development of the players coming into first grade, as that is all we have at the moment.

Recruitment wise - Crichton, Sue absolute disasters.
Meaney, CHN - decent acquisitions who will only get better
Cogger - not really giving me a chub
Napa - unlucky with injury and cant wait for him to come back in. Good buy considering the circumstances

Promoted players - Africa - big lump of a lad who obviously needs work on his fitness and shoulders for tackling purposes. For now definitely a stop gap on the wing who will eventually move into the forwards, and is worth persisting with, but definitely not worth getting into a bidding war over.

I havent seen any real improvement in players from last year and looking 5 games into this year other than Tolman.

Montoya has regressed even more along with Holland.

From what I have seen in our lower grades, alarm bells should be ringing as there is SFA

No big name coach is going to come here, considering the position we are in.

I agree with the club giving Pay only 1 additional year, and you can bet your bottom dollar, they will have an established coach on their radar now and into mid next year, working out a roster with the available cap which comes available.

Pay is a stop gap up until next year
