Don't mind losing to the Bros tbh so long as we put in effort, keep building those combos and develop cohesion. Beating the storm and surviving Belmore allows wiggle room.

Not stressed about the lack of middle forwards, they'll be back before squeaky bum time, and Ciro would be drilling them on staying alert post 65 minutes, our biggest weakness atm.

Just so happy to be supporting a team that cares again.

While I agree that you can always move a few players around to get some experience in those positions but each change introduces combination challenges. Just saying being able to bring one person in to be able to handle 6 diff positions on the field is something worth considering.

I find CC is a pretty smart bloke and tends to think a few moves ahead.
Ciraldo is going to be here for a long long time. The man is a freak. The way he talks about his players. The way he allows them to play. So much to like about him.

Yet he is still learning too, i can't wait for what future holds.

I hope Davey is back
He is a big mobile body and his experience would be awesome

warriors are rocks or diamonds
I’m expecting an easy 16-20 point win or a 20-24 point drubbing

I kid you not !
Yeah, what the hell is going on with this guy? He is a reasonably useful guy who can run strong and break a tackle or two and was brought on board precisely to cover for the situation the team is currently in. When is he going to be able to play ....

Warriors v Bulldogs: CNK, Ford set to return; TPJ unlikely
Author NRL.com

The Warriors and Bulldogs are proof of how much can change over an off-season, and after disappointing campaigns last year they meet on Sunday with each having the chance to finish the first month with a 3-1 record.
Canterbury haven't done that since way back in 2016, while for the Warriors it was 2018, and in both cases it marked the last time either club made the finals.

The Warriors were impressive in a 26-12 victory over the Cowboys in the Townsville heat in Round 3, holding North Queensland scoreless from the 14th minute onwards and completing 19 of 23 sets in the second half.
Led by a strong showing from five-eighth Te Maire Martin, the Warriors made seven line breaks in what was their first win in Australia since April 2022, while off the ball they allowed the Cowboys to break their line just once.
Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo meanwhile will have mixed feelings after last week's 26-22 victory over the Wests Tigers, as he watched his side power to a comfortable lead before a late collapse saw them almost throw it all away.
Led by hooker Reed Mahoney, there were a number of individual standouts for the Dogs, and with Matt Burton finding his running mojo their attack goes to a new level.
The Bulldogs have hated trips to New Zealand in recent times and are without a win across the Tasman since 2014, while the Warriors have won the last four head-to-head meetings between them.

Team News

Warriors: Hooker Wayde Egan will likely be subject to the mandatory 11-day stand down period after suffering a head knock last week, while forward Mitch Barnett has been cleared of a serious neck injury suffered against the Cowboys, but is in doubt to take on the Bulldogs. In better news for the club, back-rower Jackson Ford and fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad are set to return from head knocks suffered in Round 2.

Bulldogs: Tevita Pangai Junior's calf injury looks set to sideline him for at least another week. With no other major injury concerns emerging from last week the Bulldogs are expected to name a settled line up for the trip to New Zealand.

Stat Attack

  • Discipline has been an issue for both sides, with the Warriors sitting equal first for penalties conceded, averaging 7.7 per game, and the Bulldogs equal second averaging 7.3 per game.
  • No halves pairing has been better at setting up line breaks in 2023 than Warriors duo Te Maire Martin and Shaun Johnson. Martin has five line break assists and Johnson has five line break involvements, both of which are competition high numbers in those categories.
  • The Warriors have won their past four games against the Bulldogs.
  • The Bulldogs have not won at Mt Smart Stadium since 2011.
  • Warriors winger Edward Kosi has scored five tries in three games at Mt Smart Stadium.
  • Bulldogs winger Josh Addo-Carr has scored 19 tries from his past 21 games.
  • Warriors second-rower Marata Niukore will make his 100th NRL appearance.

Always a Bulldog

If King is out we are in trouble

Waddell and RFM to play in the middle with Sutton

Pele must come back in onto the bench

need to take a punt with Okunbor (Big body) and Skelton to play in the middle off the bench for this one game

Nu Brown rounds up the interchange

Same 1-17. Just hope okunbor drops off. We are carrying him incase of an injury or hia to an outside back. And have been fatiguing in the last 10-15 mins and getting run down.

Id rather have 2 props a back rower and utility on the bench. Then just having to shift things around if there are injuries rather then burning a bench spot 2 weeks in a row and having the forward pack be completely rooted at the end of games.

Curran not even in the 17 for Warrior. He was so good for them over last couple of years.
Probably want to set a standard when if you beat the shit out of a minor, you aren’t welcome into the team. I would inquire for him on loan tbh or maybe a deal.

Must have exception for Morrin to be named in reserves he didn’t make the top 30.
Shame Davey not straight back in he would have more impact than all four named on bench.
