Round 2 NRLW Team News: Taking on the Tigers

yea, but at some point they'll wanna get it to a point where more of the top line players are sticking with clubs because you get a lot of younger fans who will follow a team based on the players who are there, and next minute that player they love most is gone.. but in terms of the younger girls, for sure a trade window could work.
Possibly true ...but I get a real sense this version of the game is gonna be different now more clubs have their own team.

Already its more good natured. Not as desperately competitive to the point of gamesmanship and bashing for the sake of it...primarily bc they cant but gee there's some big tackles.

Ive watched the game against Poms abd a few others but now there's a Bulldogs team, I have been impressed and probably become a keen supporter.

Probs won't watch too many other non-Bulldog games, just like NRL, but these girls look like we can really get behind them.

Very impressed with the coach. He probably has a future in our whole of club system.

Omg I was in the local Telstra shop a few weeks ago.
That ad playing non-stop, nothing else, the whole time just cycling thru on a huge screen that took up the whole wall.
I hate it now myself ;)
Just like that song that gets stuck in your head. Once heard can’t be unheard….Whistle, whistle,whistle……..

That nerd kids walk as well!!! ;)

Imagine how the poor staff feel lol

Me and the Mrs watched this game while she was in labour last night. The winner was who our baby supports.

Thank you bulldog girls
Mabrook brother. God bless your whole family.

Apart from the fact that second half was yuck, last weeks game and first half this week were extremely entertaining. Some great hits in defence , some enterprising attack. Can see the system in the girls side as well.

Tayla Preston the perfect 7 for this new team. Great controlling, wise head with a good kicking game....shouldn't have to say it but :grinning:....good for a woman lol
Hopoate and Dymock daughters.
Some robust ball playing 2nd rowers etc
Look like the real deal and a nice blend of talent coming together and some Bulldog DNA.

We do have some good uns. Don’t take this the wrong way but I really like Moana Courtenay. Last week she scored our first ever nrlw try plus one more and was punishing in defence. Plus she has a cool name. Shame she was injured last night. Groin injury with return tbc.

obviously they'll never have the same power and distance with their kicking, but Tayla makes good decisions and has come up with some results on kicks that not everybody would attempt.. that result she got from the dropout over the sideline is one you don't even see often even from the men... I like watching her because she just plays what she sees.

We have a really good pack of experienced forwards and 2 experienced halves, so that gives us a good foundation. I really like Ash Quinlan and for a smaller player she hits hard in defence and is good on the ball

Robinson at fullback looks like she could develop into a really good player

We are a bit thin on experience in the centres and wing as a couple of the girls are rugby converts but both centres are good defensively and Bridget Hoy on the wing goes looking for work

The big Fijian winger looks a bit lost positionally but that's understandable as she has come from Rugby 7's

I just want to see her run straight and hard and use her size cause if she does that she will be hard to stop

For a new team, they are doing great. Looking forward to next weeks game

For a new team, they've done well to put a good team like this together. Exciting times :grinning:

Tarsha Gale said that she reckons Alexis Tauaneai is the best forward in the comp. That's a huge wrap
She is a really really special player. Has a huge motor, seems really difficult to put on the ground, but combines that with stinging defense and genuine footy smarts. One of those players that the ball just seems to bounce for.

The only thing she needs to do is not always think about offloading. She dropped one or two and then dropped a ball on the ground backwards that could have been anyones. But otherwise a very strong game

It'll be interesting to see how our girls fair against the Broncos. Just like in the men's comp, Brisbane are making a mockery of the cap
