Have not watched a game this weekend but reading the match reports gob smacked by the 14-4 penalty count in the Pampers Manly game. Were Manly that ill disciplined, or was it a case of Perenara being swayed by the constant booing of the Penrith crowd? Normally you get a bit of an even up to make it look as if both sides are being refereed the same way but looks like that did not happen. This game is becoming more and more predictable with officials having a fair bit of a say in matches these days. I see the two penalty goals were the only scores in a second half and Penrith had a better percentage of the ball.

The Storm are showing a few cracks, missing the spine of their team yet again. Were they that bad and Parramatta that good? Parramatta temporarily in seventh but that will change once the points table is adjusted for the byes this weekend.

Our season is just about done now; a win may give us a temporary reprieve but once again that crappy for and against is killing us, as are our non existent tactics. We will need a Steven Bradbury of epic proportions to be playing come September.....

1 penalty was a clear lost ball ruled a strip, a 1on1 strip ruled as 2 in the tackle when it wasnt even close, a 50/50 lost ball in the tackle with a hand brushing the ball but very loose carry, 1 when a panther player clearly just passed the ball into a manly player lying down in the ruck trying to milk a penalty, 1 penalty from an offside on a kick when a teammate knocked it backwards which should have put everyone onside, 1 off an offside where perenara was 15m back and then he marched them another 10m into goal kicking range for an 8pt lead because they backchat

then there is also a panther try that happened when contesting a bomb the player grabbed it off from his teammate from directly in front of him, but that one belongs to the video referee

on a sidenote i really hate that video referee explanation voice

Thank you. Sounds like the Penny pampers had a fair bit of a leg up from the referee. This has happened far too often this year and it is obvious that there is some sort of agenda within the game to make an effort to manufacture results the only explanation OTHERWISE is that the refs are absolute shit and their standard has slipped even further. Either is very plausible.

Coaches are on a hiding to nowhere at these press conferences. In the eyes of the NRL their officials do no wrong therefore any criticism is dismissed off hand. Did you not know that there is no need to have anything bad to say about them because they are perfect....

14-4 that equates to 10-0! NRL must want the panthers in the 8! Hahahaha... no this sport is a clean sport, and results are not rigged! At all!
