Hughes needs to do better holding onto the ball when taking a hitup or close to the line. He seems to drop it sometimes when getting hit hard. Needs to brace better and just hold onto it.

The only player who put us on the back foot this year that we struggled to contain was Cleary. The best player in the comp, now we gotta worry about a fresh from injury old Rapana seriously.
More people saying Raiders will beat us this week than Penrith will last week.

Bulldogs can attack it’s all depends on how or what style of footy CC wants them to play .
We cant beat them in the grind.. They're to big and skillful for that. Dogs just need to ambush them and hope it sticks like the Roosters game.

Na, we blew it. Other than Roosters (who we got on a bad day) we haven't beaten anyone of note yet and have failed to ice multiple games so far this season that we should've won.
You were doing so well not being negative.

How about we didn't allow roosters to play and they only came back 2nd half because of injuries to our players

They lost Walker 18 minutes in, lost Teddy 22 minutes in and had Young sent off 27 minutes in. They ran us down missing half their spine and a player down lol.

I'm just speaking facts, we've definitely improved this season by a fair distance but we're still falling short when it comes to results.

Most pessimist place on the Internet, welcome to the kennel lol.

We were a chance again penrith last week and now all of a sudden we can’t beat Canberra lol.
It's more so that our game against Riff was intense and Raiders coming off the bye.

2nd half it was our own errors (dropped balls eqrly in the tackle count) that didn't allow us to get out of our half and kiraz not defusing a bomb. That's why the roosters had so much field position. As well as our injuries.

The only other game that happened was against parra round 1.

So no you're not speaking facts, we didn't get dominated, we gifted that 2nd half to roosters

Sounds like a lot of excuses. We should have beat Souths, we didn't. We should have beat Storm, we didn't.

We've had a massive turnover of players from last season and have had to rebuild the confidence of those that are remained.

It's a project. As each game has passed they've improved.

Other teams weren't able to fire shots against us not because they had an off day but because we didn't let them

Except for the 1st round, maybe the 2nd, and the 2nd half vs roosters, every other game/period has shown significant improvement. Even the souths game where we should've won but none the less there was improvement

Rome wasn't built in a day

It felt like the changes Roosters were forced to make in that game actually worked for them. Manu shifted to fullback and it just changed things massively for them and Watson came on and did pretty well from memory.

Meanwhile our forced changes, Critta looked out of place when he went to fullback. I think Salmon went to centre, which has happened a few times and never goes well.

Shouldn’t take much away from that game apart from the fact that we were killing it at the start and held on at the end.

Hopefully we don’t cop any injuries against the Raiders because we are definitely a chance of beating them if we’re at full strength and play like we have been the last few games.

You’re right about Storm and Souths. Those games were ours to win but couldn’t get it done.

Tell You what that ref must of been shitting balls when we came out the first 20 minutes with our line speed and defence
Think this is the best way to get on top of the refs if we are now a team known for fitness consistent line speed, then we should be less likely, to get penalised and 6 agains against.

We have been in every single game this season even against Parra despite first game for the 10 new players and didn’t we lose Fox early which fkd us up…

Sharks lost Poasa opening hit up and still in the fight till late

Souffs lost Fox on halftime but still should’ve beat them Hutch didn’t ice the moments

Storm down 10 came “storming” back but defence lapse last few minutes cost us

Panthers - our attack too clunky against a well drilled team albeit the best in the world on their fortress

Whilst you don’t get points for admirable Ls it shows our good and bad games are closer together

The wins we had have been ones we expected to win particularly the Titans and Tigers, somehow we were underdogs v Knights then dusted them and the game was over at halftime v Chooks …they had nothing to lose in the second half and lots of pride to play with ..put the cue on rack early and almost had our pants pulled down…but we still won…Manly gave up 20 point lead at home …

I just expect to win tomorrow night fk the past record and all that BS just basing it strictly on our 2024 version

if we are going to continue our goal to be in the top 8, realistically we should beat raiders and win it however. I don’t care if it’s 1 point or 20 points. The competition is so up and down that every week we take the 2 points, is a step closer to being in the top 8.

If we beat the raiders, then dragons, then knights. We are pretty close in staying in the top 8

We will pump Canberra tomorrow.
I'm not even slightly concerned.
Agreed, its currently pissing down rain in Brisbane and has been for the past couple days so it's going to be another wet weekend of footy. Doggies have shown they are able to play wet weather footy so not worried at all and expect a 13+ win.

Spewing I missed out on tickets magic round is one of the few times I get to watch the boys play every year, but I know they will do me proud.

Go the Bulldogs!!
