I'm hoping we find some real gems that force their way into Ciro's plans and I'm also hoping Ciro gives genuine 100% potential first graders a go as well or at least they get opportunities to prove themselves.
With the way the game is played these days, and the impact of inevitable injuries, teams need ready made instant replacements to fit in and take up the mantle asap they are needed in first grade.
I hope Ciro can get all our 36? guys up to f/g speed and interchanges the roster frequently so that we can seamlessly bring in replacements and that no one can feel "comfortable" that they will hold their spot unless they are performing 100% ...I'm sure CC will expect that tho.
For example I'd have no problem if some of the young forwards came in in the early/to middle rounds for experience bc they could he needed at the end of the season and also wouldn't gave a problem in seeing Montoya, Sua and Wilson each get picked in consecutive weeks to fully assess who performs best under game day pressure bc no doubt at some time probably all of them will be called upon throughout the year to cover for injuries.
This way Ciro can expand the actual playing roster, on hand, to something like 26? and easily interchange and refresh players as required.
Anyway we def look like the team are jumping outa their skins at present so all bodes well for full buy in to Ciro's coaching.
