Didn't take long for this to happen.

1 Article published in Sunday Telegraph saying Tedesco accepted Roosters offer which was significantly less than Bulldogs & Tigers - for football reasons and happens to mention his family wealth with the anonymous 'friend' quoted as a source. When will the brown paper bags start? Maybe Uncle Nick will just pay into the family business.

2 Brad Fittler calls out Aaron Woods in media for meeting Bulldogs players. Woods then gets booed all game and Tedesco pretty much left alone.

Sure no. 3 will happen early this week.

So dodgy and so predictable.

Tedesco being left alone had nothing to do with that article. That article contradicted itself in so many ways it was almost a joke, well it was a joke.

Woods was supposedly our captain, the way he went about the contract talks on NRL 360, meeting up with dogs players etc. lost himself all the respect amongst the fans. Best of luck to him and Tedesco.

Re #1 the Tedesco family own a big chunk of land near Menagle. Used to be a farm, but as urban sprawl is about to hit there, it'll end up subdivided and put up for developers.

He doesn't exactly need the money as a result.

If he wanted money he would've signed with the Tigers tbh, the kid wants success and Woods wants a stable club and you can't blame either for leaving

Still can't hep but think that the registered contract value won't quite align with whatever amount he actually gets from the rooster. Time will tell I guess.

The Tigers aren't in a great financial position. They only just afforded their franchise fee in 2016 after the NRL kept their head above water in 2014/2015/2016 and carried over $5 million of their debt.

Then the Leagues club bought a share into it, Meriton pulled out as a jersey sponsor, and Leagues club almost went bankrupt. Club was almost down and out, and magpies were circling for a resurgence. NRL are rumoured to still be waiting to be repaid.

Luckily for Tigers Harry T and Brydens Lawyers came on board, and things are picking up.. but they are by no means well off, and probably in the lower third of clubs by value in NRL.
Yep at the moment they are probably at the bottom by value, Gold Coast and Newcastle's location provides a bit more value then anything that the Tigers can offer.

Salary cap money and club money have nothing to do with eachother. The cap money is provided by the NRL and is only used for the cap.

Teddy claims on TripleM nothing is done yet, and indicated even that Tigers might still be in with a chance.

Reckon Tedesco might be realising he'll always be the big fish at Tiggers, not so much at Rooters

The only problem is he's relied upon too much at the tigers. Maybe being at the roosters will take some pressure off.
