Ahhh yes Sizzler, once famous for their steaks, now just famous for poor business mistakes.

Then there was the other place... Sizzlers with nice racks (and I'm not talking of lamb)... that's right... Hooters.

Ahhh the great iconic theme restaurant industry is slowly but surely dieing off. Sizzlers, Black Stump, Lonestar, Spurs, Hooters... even Hogs Breath has rebranded to simply "Hogs" these days.

Not the first time I've heard that line this month :(
i was thinking about this the other day - remember all those ones that celebrities were opening up, like Planet Hollywood?

Hooters is now is Asia. Yes, i know it sounds weird considering the average body type of an oriental woman.

Oh shit I just mixed up my popular 80s/90s restaurant slogans.

Black Stump was "famous for our steaks"... and hence business mistakes.

Sizzler slowly turned into Fizzler.

The one on Blacktown was turned into NSW Ambulance base. Eventually to be demolished and a brand new facility built (just down road from Blacktown Hospital).

hahah there wre so many back in the day.

Maybe they kept the Hooters name in Asia because "Mosquito Bites" didn't have the same ring. In fairness (and people please don't post so that I have to remove adult content), but some Asian chicks actually have more than ample breasticles.

Man ... I've almost forgotten how to do this stuff.

- Tickets are NOT on sale at present.
- Original post will be updated often as the date approaches.
- Loosely penciling in the South-Western corner as our GA meeting point.

We'll be needing banners and flags and a couple of beachballs for lulz ...

Do we have a 'banners thread' around here somewhere ?
Who's a crowd ring-leader these days ?
Do folks still organise buses ???

@Mr Invisible, funny you should mention Hooters. Campbelltown also has a Hooters. It's near Sizzler. It's on what the locals call "junk food lane". Home to Maccas, Hungry Jack's, Red Rooster, KFC, Oporto, a pizza place and Harry's.

I know this because I was temporarily a C'Town local for roughly 3 years.

Just start your session in the club before the game
Only way to go...but be on best behaviour. Bouncers take no prisoners.
I for one will be reliving my childhood having UDLs with my MacGill in bowl across the road for my pre-load.

Many different names with ' stomach ache alley' being another popular pick.

My older brother user to live just down the road from the stadium in Lumeah when it used to be called Dugwiud Oval. Saw many a group six game played there when it was very primitive indeed. Club was just a basic one. To be honest I have not been there for years.

See ... Wahesh knows whatsup !

We're 75 days out.
I dunno where the Bulldogs are these days.
Not much to cheer about on the forecast.

We should organise 100 idiots full of new season optimism.
It'd be great to see some old faces and shake the hands of the new faces.
Troll the Tigers players together.
Snag a win.
Laugh our asses off.
Go to Sizzler to dine on the tears of Tigers fans.

Great way to spend your Sunday.
I’m def going, was talking about it today with one of my Bulldog mates and we are getting the band back together for this special event! We are all taking Monday off as well so gonna be shitfaced if we win, we usually do at Campbelltown been to many dogs games there being it’s in my backyard but been a while since there was a game held there between the two teams!
