Saw a Penrith fan talking about bandwagon supporters and thought it was ironic haha.. we'd definitely have a few for sure, but it's more an awakening than anything... many of us didn't bother going to games when the team wasn't turning up.
 
Just like to point out that try saver on totala at the end, salmon missed his tackle and Hayward tackled him AND held him up and then kikau came into help

Cant stand them! Ive legit seen 2-3 riff supporters that would wear their jerseys pre 4 peat.

Now they’re everywhere, one thing I won’t do it shut my mouth when we get bandwagoners allegations because I dont see their fans selling out their shitty stadium with their “diehard” fans and a 4 peat

Goes for all other supporters.

Would love to know their average crowd last year to their crowds this year after their 5 losses in a row...
 
Tbh everyone has bandwagon supporters and we shouldn’t hate on them because they bring in a lot of revenue for the club in the good times.

However we have the most diehard fans. We’ve dished up close to 10 years of crap and we still had fans show up.

I will say, this guy wasn't trying to throw shade, he was just talking about the Good Friday crowd... sure there might be a small percentage of bandwagon supporters, but I think a lot of NRL fans who are new-ish to the game don't realise how big our support base is.

A lot of bandwagon supporters are often kids as well, and they're got to get.. and if you can turn a percentage of bandwagon supporters into full time supporters, that's just further strengthening the club. I just though it was funny because although this bloke wasn't throwing shade, it was very ironic.
 
Imagine people crying about bandwagon fans though... In a cost of living crisis, who the fuck would want to take your family out to see them get slapped and make yourself angry having to work OT to recoup the costs lol

Bulldogs have always had a huge supporter base. Crowds dont turn up for losing teams, people didnt stop being supporters though. Other clubs are just jealous because there is no comparable crowd to ours. we are the NRL. When we win the comp the scenes will be unprecedented in Australian sport

A bandwagon fan is still a fan, which equals $$$ for our club.

Just get to our games, spend your money, enjoy the ride and STFU lol

100% for me it's no regular season games as I live far away and cost of living is high. Finals and GFs only for me ATM until mortgages reduce

I've been a member since 1997 (17 years old), I had to give my membership when I got sick and now, thank God, I picked up my membership again.

So was I not a "real fan" those years when I was in and out of hospital?

Some people's logic is just fkd.
