I think the variables of each body healing at different speeds and the difference is grey area sometimes between low (higher end), intermediate (Lower end) - I guess its easy to just lump them into the same rehab basket lol
Help a brother out please. You seem like you're in the sports injury business?? What are the grades and definitions??

I am not brother but here is what AI has to say:

Grade 1 (Mild)

  • Description: Minor stretching or microscopic tearing of the MCL fibers.
  • Symptoms:
    • Slight pain and tenderness along the inner knee.
    • Minimal swelling.
    • No significant instability (knee feels stable).
    • Slight stiffness but full weight-bearing is possible.
  • Recovery Time: 1–3 weeks with rest, ice, and rehab.
Grade 2 (Moderate/Intermediate)

  • Description: Partial tear of the MCL, causing more noticeable instability.
  • Symptoms:
    • Moderate pain and tenderness.
    • Some swelling and bruising.
    • Mild to moderate knee instability when moving or changing direction.
    • Difficulty bending or fully straightening the knee.
  • Recovery Time: 3–6 weeks, depending on the severity of the tear.
Grade 3 (Severe)

  • Description: Complete rupture of the MCL, often accompanied by damage to other knee structures (like the ACL or meniscus).
  • Symptoms:
    • Severe pain initially, which may lessen over time.
    • Significant swelling and bruising.
    • Major instability—knee may feel like it will "give out."
    • Difficulty walking without assistance.
  • Recovery Time: 6+ weeks to several months; may require bracing and, in rare cases, surgery.

Why Do Low-Grade & Intermediate Injuries Sometimes Have Similar Recovery Timelines?

  • Early rehab starts for both: Both Grade 1 and Grade 2 MCL injuries benefit from immediate rehabilitation, focusing on mobility, strengthening, and stability exercises.
  • Body’s healing variability: Some Grade 2 injuries can heal at the same pace as a Grade 1 due to factors like player conditioning, medical treatment, and rehab intensity.
  • Overlapping symptoms: Some Grade 1 sprains may feel worse initially, while milder Grade 2 injuries recover faster with proper management.

This explains why in your case, despite one player having a low-grade MCL and the other an intermediate-grade MCL, both had a similar rehab plan and expected return timeframe.

Probably both earmarked round 6 Good Friday as the return to play date which is 5 weeks from now hence the comment by Gus

Correct me if I'm wrong low is Mild?? Lol

Sitili will be awesome, I have no doubt in that.

Just don't know who replaces Burton, but I'm going to make a bald prediction, CC picks Hutch and he kills it lol
I really think that Ciraldo will want minimal disruption and will try to keep it as much like for like as possible. I can see him moving Sitili to Kikau's pos and Todd coming in for Sitili on the bench. Hutch straight in for Burton, everything else stays the same.

The applause (which i was a part of) when Max King came off after his first stint was unbelievable! Goosebumps, educated fans recognising the hard work of a front rower. Max also loved it, kissing the badge! All the bells and whistles are nice, but we do love them tough!

He was brilliant, best on the field for mine.

Just like Liddle last week… we are lucky we’ve played two teams that have made errors at crucial times. The Sharks and even the Knights will take advantage of our shaky D if we don’t fix it up asap
Mate, all teams make errors and they all make them at crucial times in most games.

Actually I would leave Stilli on the bench for inpact and start Todd who is a good runner of the ball in Kicks place

I can't believe what I'm reading.

I can’t handle another Good Friday loss
It’ll be a big one again this year, expect Trell to be back and Wayne to have them up… I just want us to be full strength

I'm not an expert, but it seems like Salmon is a 'slow' ballplayer, similar to Garry Hughes, but without the deft skill. Salmon seems to telegraph what he is doing.
Either am I and maybe I'm too optimistic of him. I know he is not a top line player and you can't really say he stands out in any position. I remeber last year though he filled in a few times at 5/8 and he did ok. I know it was in a great side but hopefully we can bring out the same.

Thats why I think a bit like REni as he was not a star and got into a bit of controversy lol. But they are similar size and I think Reni played a bit of 5/8 as well as backrow and lock. I mean he is a good utility and backup to have on the books and if a better player can take his place then fair enough. He played pretty good on the weekend. If he can keep that up then he will have a place.
