Ciro is obviously experimenting with LG and Sexton, but he can't keep doing it much longer, He will have to drop 1 to reserve garde for the good of the team and our season in the next few weeks. He can't keep playing both in the 17 for the rest of the year
He obviously wanted to see if LG was going to kill it as soon as he wore our blue and white.
At this stage it looks like LG will be the 1 to be dropped
I highly doubt that LG will be dropped but I do think it's crazy swapping your halves midway through the second half as it takes time for a half and the whole right side to get in the groove and sync with each other. I think CC will have to decide on either Sexton or Galvin on the right and who ever it is will play there the full 80. If it's Sexton, then LG will come off the bench in the lock position. The other option is Burton to centre which is not likely, but with very little depth at centre, an injury might force this.

Just a reminder to everyone what happened last time we played the Broncos.

Black lines show same player lined up.
Red lines and arrow indicate a downgraded player replacing the one in Round 8 game.
Blue lines and arrow indicate a similar player replacing the one in Round 8 game.
Green lines and arrow indicate a better player replacing the one in Round 8 game.

For scorecard:
Green indicates a player named in Round 18 who scored points last time.
Red indicates a player named in Round 8 who is not playing this time.

In Summary:
6 tryscorers and 7 conversions for Broncos made by players named in BOTH games.
3 tryscorers and 0 conversions for Bulldogs made by players named in BOTH games.
Hence 38 points to 12 by comparison.

Broncos have 2 downgraded players (Carrigan and Haas replacements), but have upgraded halves with Mam in for Hunt.
Bulldogs have technically 6 downgraded players (Wilson for Kiraz, Tuala for Crichton, Hughes for King, Morrin for Salmon, Hopoi for Tupounuia, Galvin for Mann). Albeit I realise they won't directly cover the same positions most likely.

For the above reasons I reckon we are going to get hammered Friday night sadly. Possibly our biggest loss of the season coming up.

I have zero trust in the centre/wing pairing of Tuala and Wilson given Kiraz and Crichton even had issues last game.

Good theoretical analysis but Disagree respectfully. A champion team with a better game strategy on this occasion will beat a team of champions. Not only will we start better, we will force them to play our game, outwork them and ultimately pull away from them in the last 20. Our bench is much better than theirs. In the first game everything came off Haas on a very wet and windy night. None of this will happen again.

Yeah Broncs at $2.50 is juicy. Though I think we have them covered in the forwards. It’ll come down to how quiet we can keep Reynolds. He’s the key to winning for them. I’m quietly confident we’ll win.

I know it’s difficult but we’ve got to get Reynolds involved in making a lot of tackles. He‘s on the same side as Kikk, Burton and Xerri, if the team as presently selected occupies their normal positions. Try to maintain a high completion rate and send plenty of traffic his way. He‘ll probably have a minder inside him to try and stop him getting involved in too much defence, we have to make it happen, because we need to reduce his impact with the ball.

their forward pack isn't that great without haas and carrigan
This. Look at the last time we played:

Haas - 28 runs for 261m, 102m post contact, 6 tackle breaks, 5 offloads, 32 tackles 0 missed
Carrigan - 24 runs for 178m, 57m post contact, 1 tackle breaks, 2 offloads, 34 tackles 2 missed

Xavier Wilison has had two ok/decent games this year, one vs us off the back of Haas and Carrigan dominating.
