Official Rnd 15 vs Souths @ Accor Sun 15th June 4pm

Woods was what I would describe as "competent", he did all the things that a 1/2 should do, kick, run passes, dummy, steered the team around etc, and did them pretty well. But I didn't see any spark, something that just grabs your attention, that you remember long after the game. But maybe I was expecting too much this early for a just turned 19 year old, he has plenty of time.

Looking forward to see how he goes in the U19's SOO.

Team Work
Yep Twin every time I have seen him in juniors which hasnt been many, that the impression I got too. Gotta start thinking that the hype about him is only journos bullshit..
Hope I'm wrong... but I can't see any x factor.......yet....

I hate it when we move Kiraz to centres! He’s one of the best wingers in the NRL right now and he always has a quiet game (by his standards) when he’s moved there.

Hopefully the team list is just smoke and mirrors and he doesn’t actually line up there

What’s our average attendance after the Parramatta game?

Woods is more a refined halfback/runner, he's not really an x-factor so much from what i've seen, but he has a good passing game, good kicks and steers the team around well. This is what we need.

Yes I’d have to agree. Very sound technically competent game. However current players like Galvin, Bula, Jayden C, Thurston & Fittler (back in the day) et al, often did magical things that make you see their X factor from first appearance. Anyhow let’s see how Mitchell W settles in over remainder of season in Cup. Early days….

I think it’s good. It keeps us turning up every week. The great news is we are playing nowhere near our best and have not for a while.
We should hammer Souths but with 3-4 top 17 players out (particularly Critta) I’m concerned we don’t turn in another performance like we did against the Fins. Our spine that day was ineffective. Hoping Galvin can make the difference this time.

The thing that has really puzzled me, is that Adam was praised by many in the media for his superb handing of the 2023 Grand Final. Since then though he hasn‘t been appointed to an Origin game, or in the 1st week of the 2024 Finals when 4 refs were needed, he didn’t get appointed to any of them.

Obviously the Head of Referees doesn’t rate him as highly as a lot of fans do.

Very puzzling.
Maybe the fact that fans rate him highly is the key, and that is fans right across the board. Equality, no agenda.
