Never been more wrong about a player than Hayward. Was deadset calling for him to be left out completely in pre season. Keep at it bossman, just don’t sign for the Bears please lol

Great to watch. But boggie23’s heart isn’t what it used to be :sweatsmile: especially having lived through Des ball and nose whistle interviews, pay ball and probably the worst of them all Barrett ball.

You are right though. Fully fit Hayes could have been touch and go to make the team and run out round 1. He was starting at right back row today. Was good to see kids step up. Hayes, Todd, Hayward, hopoi really proved their quality this year. So good to see the younger players get their chance and prove they are first graders. But you are right. We were light on middles and our starting prop from last year hasn’t run on the field yet. Our star recruit from the roosters has spent more time suspended or injured then playing. So you are definitely right in saying we are missing key pieces. And possibly with all players fit and well we can get back to that pressing pack defence we had going for the first 2 months and pummelling teams into submission.

He has been awesome. His defence gets better all the time and his try was massive for us last night. It’s a shame there’s so many elite NSW centres right now otherwise he’d be a really good chance of getting picked.

I also love the way he goes about it, never complains or looks for penalties, gets up and goes again if he makes a mistake. What a good pickup by Gus, and he’s still only 24.

Another blockbuster game coming up! What a great season so far. Crowd records, amazing comebacks and our attack when it clicks is dangerous. Attacking threats on all areas of the field.

I'm not sure if it is just fittness that makes us so good in the 2nd half.
It appears to me that both Raiders and Rotters gave so mush in the 1st half that they had little left for the second
 
There was so much adversity in that game and the boys did it. The confidence in that dressing room would be special. The fact that players are able to come in and do a job really speaks volumes about their prep and training.

He also let in a try by coming in and forcing monty to mark the centre

Yeah that knock on from tracey close to the rorters try line, I thought it was over. But this team were cool, calm and collected and did not panic.

Major improvements when we were in the same situation vs themly in the finals last year.

I still think we need to improve our attack inside the 20, the amount of times we’ve fucked up opportunities that could’ve led to tries is inexcuseable
