Does anyone else think that Mark W bloke who scored the freakish try last night is not a dead set ringer for Paul Carige?

How come Melbourne seem to lose when Hughes doesn’t play despite having Munster on big money ? Or are you telling me the Eels are so much better when Brown is the half and Moses is on the sidelines? The only 5/8 that seems to win without the big money halfback was Luia and well you hate him…

Munster $1.2 million
Brown $1.4 million getting paid 1.1 million at the eels. Both play with million plus dollar halves.

The hate for Burton on this forum is crazy. We have budget halves compared to most teams and we play a system where the lock receives the ball anyways.
I think too many on here are underestimating or deliberately down playing Burton performance yesterday, he played to his strengths which is running and his kicking got us out of so much trouble particularly first half …we got opportunities to score off the back of some of his bombs and he also scored the winning try

If you going to pour shit on a player at least give him kudos when he puts in a winning performance but nah TK built different lol

Our last three games have been pretty brutal and there will be another dip at some point but we are close to getting some troops back, so proud of the young players that have stood tall in the last few weeks.
Not bad for a bunch of utilities.. the other thing i becoming intested in is CC take n training next bellamy, wayne, gus , ryan, who has changed the game again.

What a great game!

Shame Roosters were milking it for a penalty nearly every set.

Honestly need to find ways to discourage milking. Tedesco is the worse. When that player stayed down and it was nothing - should have been a penalty to dogs. We had momentum and then play was stopped - for nothing!

This team is all heart. They are super fit and have each other's back. The roosters played at their peak last night. They were on and near full strength. We were missing Preston, Curran, Sitili, Hughes, Todd, Salmon, DSF for 75 mins. Gave them a 14-point head start and still ran them down, unbelievable.

Anyone know why Kurt Man was at the press conference?
My opinion, critta stepped back to give Kurt every possible chance at state of origin selection?

Probably to not talk about the possible suspension, Emma Lawrence after the game said she called the nrl and they want to look at it first thing in the morning. A few times this year Mann has went with Ciraldo

Yep, exactly what I said ages ago. It’s too unpredictable. He picked the right time to do it tonight though. But best try scorer ever couldn’t even catch his standard bombs bwahahha
If he can reliably place then where he wants to it would be a different matter...

I just looked at the stats after the game mark naquestrianigganate got the most fantasy points? Haha. That has to be a gee up. He dropped 16 kicks. Fair enough scored 2 tries but doubt he caught a bomb all night. Only ran for 133 too if you think maybe he just slayed it bringing the ball up so made up for the lollies he spilt, but not really.

Still gutsy win. Not a fan of not rocking up in the first half. Hope that changed because you only have those types of comeback wins a handful of times in a teams history. And we done it back to back. But in saying that we took care of business and put away a team we should have. I know cirro said we have had a very tight schedule lately and over the next 5 weeks it’s a bit lighter with 2 byes in there too. So hopefully we can freshen up and try and start a bit stronger without giving teams the first half then starting the game in effect the second.

I honestly think our poor first halves are simply result of missing our forwards. From our starting pack last night, only 2 of them are regular starters. Once we have our full complement back. It won’t be an issue.

Have to credit the mental resilience of the squad. To gather themselves at HT, and come out and turn it around.

There was opportunity for penalties there. They were playing dirty thinking they could get away with it and they did. So it makes you wonder, is the safety of players really that important or protecting the NRL from being sued?

Andrew “play it in real time” John’s was adamant that the Robert Toia drop over the line should have been a try. Especially if you “play it in real time” and not slow mo
Is that the same Andrew Johns who has selected about 40 players who should play SOO? And when one of them is picked, he is a genius.
