OFFICIAL | PRE-GAME Rnd 10 vs Raiders @ Canberra SAT 10th May 3pm

I have been watching the game since I can remember, and without doubt, the "Viking Clap" and the giant "farting horn" has got to be the most wanky, cringeworthy and gayest things I have EVER seen!!!!!
I agree, as someone else said
on here the viking clap is the worst type of clap you can get........

Todd's arm, not Hughes.

Yeah, I have not heard anything, it’s strange because they are normally in a cast.
I know he’s traveling with the New South Wales cup team this weekend to Tamworth.
Maybe it’s healing quicker than anticipated.
There are going to be a lot of guys coming back at the same time.

I noticed he doesn't have a cast or brace on his arm. Is that normal these days??

The stress fracture occurred at the point where the original plate ended. My understanding is Todd has had the plate extended (or maybe replaced) to beyond the stress fracture. It goes almost from the wrist to the elbow, so probably no need for a cast to hold the bone in place while it heals, the plate already does that.

Team Work

Hayes deserves the start on the edge. I would have preferred Salmon there and Bailey starting. Our bench is tiny. Hopefully we get the jump in Canberra early.
If you break it down we have 4 13s in the team, and then Hopoi who is a second rower but I know has been playing mins in the middle in reserves. Then Hayes who is a big thick human will be slotted at second row according to the team sheet? Unless something changes?

Hayward starting makes sense, with Solomon at back row. But in saying that Hayes will be a handful especially if marking Young.

I’m not sure if a cast is necessary for a mid-bone break that has been surgically repaired?
Casts are really for immobilization and you can’t move it anymore, add to that, the risk of an infection under the cast?
I wouldn’t read too much into it. It’s probably pretty common to go without in situations like this.

We could have the thickest necks in the history of second row pairings today (compare to Solomon).

I don't mind Hayes at second row. He could easily do 80 minutes if needed he's that fit, he tackles well and maintains a high level of energy. Mann to rotate with Solomon, Hayward to rotate with Mahoney and DSF to share the minutes with Morrin and Hopoi.

It was a surgery, they extended the titanium the full length of his forearm no need for a cast just have to wait for the incision to heal and he’s good to go.

We can play the long game.... if we had the ball in the first half against Brisbane we wouldve won that game
