Although we have put cut out to make the finals or even maybe miss the wooden spoon, our draw isn't that bad to finish the year and all games in Sydney apart from a game in Newcastle. I also believe if we build on our performance last night we could win quite a few games. Only one 5 day turnaround and i cant see us being that affected by State of Origin.

30 points on offer plus 2 for bye. we are on 4 points 12 wins would leave us on 30 points

The draw is totally fucked when after 9 rounds we’ve only had 3 home games. Compare that to the dragons who have already had 6 home games. No wonder there flying.

The whole draw is a debacle. To start with there are too many games that happen in the same round every draw (eg us vs souths every good fri) and then they go ahead and schedule things to suit TV.

https://www.canberratimes.com.au/sp...-cramming-for-nsw-rivals-20180423-p4zb8k.html

The NRL won't budge from its contentious policy of scheduling all-NSW blockbusters in which teams can meet twice in the space of just three or four weeks as it ramps up efforts to draft its 2019 draw ahead of previous years.

An intentional plan to have some of the game's biggest NSW rivalries create interest in the early rounds of the competition will reach a climax this weekend when three matches feature re-runs of earlier clashes this year - even though the competition is just eight weeks old.
So basically the draw will never be fair as far as the competition is concerned, in fact being fair is not even a consideration at all. TV ratings > all.

I've never quite understood how some lower grades have 2 teams having a bye... if there are 2 teams.. play them!

It should be a case that every team plays every team either once or twice.

If the NRL pulled their finger out and expanded, they'd be able to have a 20 something season with each team playing each other once. I understand at the moment they deem 15 games too short and 30 games too long... but is 30 really too long?

Needed the wins against Canberra and Souths to keep heads above water ... last night we swallowed a bunch more, and I foresee we'll drown out of contention post-origin to finish about 11th.

We're good in patches, but this is not an 80-minute disciplined squad of players all on the one page.
We were gifted two tries due to Broncos randomly falling over and still couldn't lock up an 8-point lead.

The only thing that will change that is a 5-game winning streak, and perhaps a Fortnite medkit for to magically heal Forans shoulder.
