You like attacking religions, I must say I don't know much about non Christian religions, but to say that all the Christian Churches foster corruption and child molesting etc just proves just how sick you are.
Just for the record the Christian Churches preach the 10 commandments, which were handed to Mosses which were later reaffirmed by Jesus himself himself, sure a few Christians have failed to live by them, (no more than 5%) but the intensions of the churches have all been good
Tell me if their is something wrong with any of the commandments, eg. Don't kill don't steal, I guess the fact that you follow the most crocked club in the NRL tells me that you don't have any scruples, and with Politis who even looks like Satan you great leader, what standard can you possibly live by.
My suggestion to you is stay on the rotters fan sites if you have one, or are you here because you want to rub in to its followers the fact that our club is struggling, I know people close to some involved with your club want the Bulldogs and Rabbits eliminated from the comp.
I provide evidence of greed and corruption within a church and you respond with waffle. "5% of christians fail to live up to the 10 commandments and the intentions of the church have all been good." That cloak of ignorance fits you well.

Your so call evidence of greed may have some substance, I know for a fact that my Church and some of the others in the town do much for the needy in the area with such things as shelters gifts food etc.
You've proved nothing in regards to corruption because they are entitled to benefit from Government grants (hand outs), its what they do with the money that counts.
My church does a lot of work in 3rd countries building shelters usually maned by Aussies or Westerners, I know of one in south Sudan where one Aussie Lad y is looking after 1000 kids Orphaned by civil wars etc.
I still own a ute from my Business days so our local parish priest asked me to pick up a second hand bed that another parishioner was throwing out because his was stuffed.
Your hatred of Christianity has blinded you so stick to Politis and your satanic club.

Greek Orthodox Church took tens of millions in rent from aged care home at centre of deadliest COVID outbreak - ABC News

A group of taxpayer-funded aged care homes funnelled $31 million back into the coffers of one of Australia's largest churches, an ABC investigation has found.

The homes include St Basil's in Melbourne, where 45 residents died in Australia's deadliest COVID outbreak.

In the past eight years, St Basil's paid more than $22 million in rent and fees to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese while receiving federal government funding.

A commercial real estate agent told Background Briefing this was double the rental market rate.

Towards the end of that period, the church was funding the lavish lifestyle of its newly appointed Archbishop, including the purchase of a $6.5 million Sydney apartment with harbour views.

Archbishop Makarios, who oversees the church's schools, parishes and aged care homes, arrived on Australia's shores in the middle of 2019 to much fanfare.

He was swamped by thousands at his enthronement in Sydney and photographed meeting the Prime Minister along with other political and business leaders.

"Until the end of my life, I belong to Australia," he declared, choking back tears.

But as he toured the country in his first months in charge, some in the church noted his lifestyle seemed excessive for a man who had taken a vow of poverty.

He was arriving at parishes in a black Holden Caprice with dark tinted windows, a flag and a personalised number plate ordered just for him: ARCHBM.

His ceremonial gowns of luxurious silks and wool in vivid hues, embroidered with gold thread, cost up to $30,000 each, according to sources linked to the church.

They were a stark departure from the conservative black cotton garments worn by his predecessor, the late Archbishop Stylianos.

Then in December 2019, the church bought him a new official residence in Millers Point, a luxurious apartment with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House.

It provoked outrage among the faithful, so in mid-2020 the Archdiocese issued a statement denying the Archbishop was living in the apartment.

But Background Briefing has observed Archbishop Makarios's Caprice entering and leaving the apartment complex.

The Archdiocese has now confirmed he moved in earlier this year.

Sources say before he moved in, a $3 million renovation was carried out.

The church said the renovation was paid for by a private donor.

The Archdiocese dismissed questions about the Archbishop's lifestyle as "discourteous and ill-founded", but concerns persist that funds from the Greek Orthodox Church's aged care homes are helping to pay for it.

Background Briefing has uncovered an extensive network of residential and commercial properties around Australia owned by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and overseen by the Archbishop.

But assets don't equal liquid cash.

The Archdiocese also owns 15 aged care homes dotted around Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia, which receive aged care funding from the federal government.

Some of the church's aged care homes are passing money directly back to the church, with a total of $31 million transferred in the past eight years, often while homes are posting operating losses.

And you know what will happen...nothing! Just like the catholic church got away with raping children for decades, this church will get away with profiting off old people dying. They will never be required to repay what they ripped off.

The only good thing about these stories is they shed light on the real morals and ethics of churches and that is money, making it wherever and however possible regardless of the suffering it causes.
God basher. lol They are after you now.

Hope the rent money was spent supporting the community and not another house or car for the leader.

Religion ruins Faith.
Come on mate, where are you from, Religion teaches to believe and have faith in God. I thought that you had more sense than KambalaOne and 1 or 2 others on this site. Because of a few failures you can't blame the whole institution. If so yo have to say Australia is a bad country because of Bryant in Port Arthur and Tarrant in Christchurch.

I don't know what you are trying to prove by providing proof then mocking the church?

Are you trying to tell people that corruption, greed and crime is only evident in churches?

Are you trying to tell people Atheists never commit crime, are not greedy and corrupt?

News flash buddy every single organisation in the world has corruption, greedy people and criminals in it's ranks... Even organisations like the Australian Defence Force (Do you need me to post articles about that?), we are all humans and unfortunately some humans will always be greedy no matter what rank or post they're in!

The problem with atheists is they're so quick to judge without thinking... They're so quick to mock without caring what that mocking does to people.

I do not mock peoples beliefs, but I reserve the right to mock churches and religions who claim a moral high ground yet preach one thing and practice another. Had you read the story this priest took a vow of poverty, then took funds from aged care homes and spent $3mill renovating a multi million dollar apartment overlooking Sydney Harbour, brought himself a brand new luxury car and personalised number plates. The church initially lied to it's own congregation about the money, but then had to come clean about what the money was being spent on.

That level of greed, corruption and blatant hypocrisy needs and deserves mocking regardless of whether the individual represents a religion.

And you claim atheists don't think before judging? The exact same problem can be found with religious types in that they don't think and judge, they believe and judge, there is no thinking involved.

Each to their own my bro, I am a Solider of Christ, nobody else. There are a majority of good people in man made religion but some follow the synagog of Satan. I just follow my 3 favourite people, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Don't need any man to tell me how to have faith.

You don't mock peoples beliefs? Yet you said " lol unsurprising. I suppose if they spent the money stolen from people dying on a giant useless statue you'd be impressed. " How many people who believe did you just mock in that one sentence? but you don't mock right? Not just Christians but Hindu's, Buddhists etc.

Also " All religions are equal in my eyes. All I do is point out the lies, hypocrisy, corruption, greed and the lack of morals and ethics all religions have including yours. You can chose to wilfully ignore those aspects, but that says more about you than it does about me. "

If that's not mocking or looking down on people who believe then LOL

See it's easy to mock the church and all the people who are of faith but when the people of faith try and defend the faith you types cannot take it!
Some people who are atheists are criminals, drug dealers, pedophiles, greedy MF and unmoral like some people of faith!

You mock the religious institutes also but what's the atheist equivalent? The former USSR? China? or any other Socialist/Communist state built on the "Utopia" of no religion and equality? Oh yes no corruption in those societies, the 100million murdered to try and reign in Religion was made up aye?

Oh wait they're bad examples aye? What about Secular Western countries? Not one person is corrupt or pigs in those governments? lol

Easy to mock the Church but hard to accept the alternate is worse.

Yes people can be corrupt, greedy, lying, self-serving hypocritical paedophiles...including people who profess faith and belief. That's just a fact you will have to come to terms with.

I have one mate that is heavily religious. He's the harshest judge of people I know. But he also has this massive blindspot when it comes to judging people in positions of power within the church. And I see similar responses from people in here that feel the need to come into bat for religion whenever it gets a bad headline. Don't call out atheists or people criticizing what in all honesty should be called out. Maybe direct that anger towards the institution to let them know you won't tolerate the people in power bringing down outsiders opinion of the organizations because they're greedy and self interested.

You are just as blind if you cannot see that those people are not judging the individuals they're judging the whole organisation including the followers and when I say judging I really mean mocking!

NOT Many people will defend an individual who is guilty of anything... We will defend the church though, massive difference.

Who are you to tell us to direct our anger at the institute? Go back to your chair and sit the fuck down unless you are perfect or all atheists are perfect then mock all you like!

Mate you have to come to terms most people who profess faith and belief are good people like most atheists are! You also have to come to terms that the bad people in religious institutes are a reflection of society cause it's ALSO THE SAME AMONGSTS ATHEISTS.. FMD IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!

This whole argument should be easy for Bulldog supporters, for YEARS we have been judged by the actions of a small minority and you idiots defended the club in most of those instances... what the fuck is the difference?

Well here's the thing. If our football club was found to have a CEO stealing money the fans of the club would be outraged and call for their sacking. You would assume that those below them in the hierarchy would facilitate that sacking. But for religious people when it's a leader of the church doing something bad there isn't the outrage, there's this foolish insistence that they need to defend the organization.

I'm taking this stance because it pisses me off having done a bit of reading about things like peadophiles being moved around when churches knew that it was happening as well as this example of corruption. I know that an aspect of religion is about forgiveness, but at some point the standard of people they allow to be representatives of their religion is what they are entitled to be judged on. You want people to respect religion, call for better examples from those representing the religion. Pretty fucking simple.
