Kieran Foran is impressing the Bulldogs with his start to pre-season training as he looks to revive his NRL career after his 2018 campaign ended early due to toe, lower back and wrist problems.

Bulldogs high performance manager Tony Ayoub said the veteran playmaker was "coming along really well" and had completed back-to-back training sessions for the first time in a long time during the week.

Canterbury captain Josh Jackson is on track to begin contact work after the Christmas break following shoulder surgery, centre Kerrod Holland (ankle) will be on modified training over the next few weeks while Panthers recruit Corey Harawira-Naera (groin) is building core strength is set to step up his training load

Nu Brown has a stress reaction in his foot so the club medicos will keep him on light duties for the next month before he can return to the main training group.

So is Ayoub saying Foran hasnt completed back2back training sessions in years?

How the flying fuck did Foran pass the medical test before being signed by Dibby?

Exactly. Last year he was picking up speed from training, was feelings 100% for the first time since his first few years. And then he said he had chronic injuries. Got through 10 games I think

How anyone can justify he isn’t the worst signing in our history is beyond me. Atleast trex was shit but he would still play games and train (even though his effort was non existent in training). This guy can’t train, he can’t make the field for games and when he does he is bog average (thinking average is being kind). And has absolutely no speed at all. And is on a backended deal with incentives to increase with the cap.....

We fucked up with him and we have no way out. Like you are better off paying 500k from your cap for him to play elsewhere then have him in your team for 10 “average” games a year.

Every time I reply about a Hasler, dib and castles fuck up I get a bit carried away :tearsofjoy:

How was he given the richest deal we have ever offered a player too :tearsofjoy:

So we could get Cronk, hunt, Taylor, maybe try for Cleary all better way to spend 1.2 million then Foran :tearsofjoy:

Yet we go for a mentally unstable and physically fragile player who has not showed anything more then a 350k contract for 5 years. And we sign him long term :expressionless:

Imagine where we’d be with a handful of gun forwards (klemmer, kas, Jackson, finucane) a spare few million in the cap (minus the graham, woods, mbye, kasino, perrett contracts that we chipped in while they were gone) and minus the Foran, and tolman monster deals.

No doubt had we kept Moore or even given dymock a shot we would no way be in this position. But we gave 100% control to a cracked man, got one of the worst administrators to even run a club or company and had a self promoting chairman that drove the club to the shameful position we are in.

Imagine a core of Barba, finucane, Tapau, klemmer, kasiano, Jackson. Then we would definitely had one of latrell, Munster, or another current gun because any coach would take a punt on them that doesn’t suffer from insanity.

i'll celebrate when he gets thru half a season, training sessions is one thing, serious contact and making tackles is another.

Next off season article:

Foran on track for 2020 season after overcoming leg amputation, severe spinal surgery, 2 broken wrists and a hangnail. High performance manager Tony Ayoub is said to be ‘ecstatic’ with Foran’s progress after he managed to get off his wheelchair in hospital and walk to the bathroom with the help of just one walking stick:
“Yeh look we’re really happy with his progress, Foz. The determination he’s shown to overcome the 12 hour back surgery is second to none and the boys are pumped to have him back on the field.” Foran is expected to be available for selection in round 25 of season 2020, where coach Dean Pay admits his experience will prove ‘invaluable to the boys’

All we need is a wax head of Foran and some hands,
bolt it to a remote control buggie and he can hide in the coaches box under the table and drive it around the park,
nobody would even notice I think he ran for 5 metres one game this year.
