And if had chosen an Uber than getting into his car, then none of this would have happened and he would be seeing his contract out with the Dogs till 2025. The power of choices...he chose to take coke... he chose to drive... he chose to lie... Not a great image for our young pups coming through the ranks from a senior player on very good coin for a winger.

I used to say 20 years ago when sports peeps were inevitably doing stupid shit, just give them all a book of taxi dockets and in the long run, it'll turn out better for all involved.

Nice touch mate.
Always good to bring a human touch into the 'debate'.
We all fuck up (well, I do - anyhow...not sure about the rest of you)
But, I will always be indebted to the FOXX for believing (& spruiking) CBFC when we were at the bottom of the cellar!!
He brought us some swagger, hope & some cred...
He sure did, mate. I’m glad many on the forum see it… and I bet all those looking down on him have done their state of stupid shit. I know I have.

@Utility Gus setting a dangerous precedent for our “superstars” while this one will work out as JAC was on the outer and not the same player, what if it’s a young gun with a ten year future ahead of them at the club like Burton or Critta? He would have to sack them to be consistent.

Yep. It could come back to I bite us, for sure. This all could have gone away in a few weeks if he’d just handled it the normal way. Instead he goes and makes a show of it and almost two months later it’s still in the headlines.

If he'd chosen Uber, he wouldn't have been able to pick up the perso .... I mean, yeah, good idea

"Hairs a show of it"?

I wouldn't be throwing around those moronic tags too quickly my friend.

Glass houses and all of that lol

Those on here reducing this to a prohibited substance use, indiscretion are lying to themselves.
Fox is guilty of much more than just "doing some lines"
1- He's taken drugs and chosen to drive impaired.
2- He's committed such a stupid, selfish act on the week of the biggest game the club has played, in about a decade.
3- He lied to the club. he was caught. he knew he was caught, he knew he had done it, and he allowed the club to defend him publicly.
you cant have people like that in your club, they are a cancer.
My youngest is heartbroken that his favourite player is leaving, but it matters not.
Goodbye Fox. Thanks for the memories.

And maybe by doing this, showing that no one is above the club, will help to convince said ten year players not to be so dumb and certainly don’t lie to the club.

Anyone so selfish as to do this shit just before the finals certainly hasn’t bought into Club First, Team Second, Individual Third.

Well said. He really hasn’t owned it either. We as people stuff up everyday but if he had’ve owned it he probably would’ve been fined and all would forgive him over time. But lying sets a dangerous journey the club have to stamp out. Gus tried to speak out on his behalf, but if they don’t sack him - does that mean this is going to be ok by all players in the future. The club needs to keep the acceptable standard by all players. It’s such a shame that it’s gone down this road.

Paying the fine is effectively admitting guilt.

We don't need to know anything, were not the ones who'll have to defend the decision. I'm sure the clubs legal representatives are providing sound advice on this matter.
You're right. We don't need to know anything.
Maybe it would be 'interesting' to know.
I'll pass on getting involved in a legal debate about fines and guilt, except to say it is important to remember a player's contract will be very clear about a positive ASADA test, anything else gets a little murky.

Rubbish, you talk to much rubbish. Your obsession with picking on something about the club is becoming beyond pathetic.
You are just a TROLL and love the attention,
First it was Elliot then Flanagan, you even overreacted and started calling CC Ciraldope then you target Gus and now you’re up Fox’s arse.
I love the fox I want him to stay but he fucked up and lied,
what is done is done that’s on fox.
Let’s see you take drugs and lie to your boss and see if you have a job.

If all of the many, which we agree upon are users, were all as stupid and knowing liars as JAC the league would collapse overnight.
Correct.
What I meant and should have said,if ALL of the users had somehow been publicly exdposed the damge done to the game would be
irrepairable.
Its a matter of if your going to do somemthing stupid, do it sensible
Wouldn’t be such a bad outcome, let’s be real it’s a crap sport, would open your weekends right up, get some sunlight, no more gambling no more drinking or bags at the pub, all those footy shoes vanish, kids start playing real sports

bring on more coke boys !! Oh and also all the maggots in here vanish too

what a dream

I would grant him a reprieve on reduced contract and use Wilson ahead of him anyway.
