I agree to an extent. I guess we can only wait and see what the plan for 9 is. Do agree that it does feel weird for a team near the top of the ladder to be shedding players but I guess those in charge see it another way.

we will struggle defensively without reed next season, we don't have a proper dummy half replacement that can make 30 plus tackles a game
 
This is actually a big loss, one for culture and his solid 40 tackles a game

I think Milky's ability to play in the halves as well as key link man when he plays 13, as well as being cheaper than Mahoney is why the club has made this decision.

Assuming milky plays hooker, with Salmon at 13 and Mann at 14, it allows CC to rotate Salmon and Mann. Both those 2 can sub milky at hooker if hes injured or sin binned or tired.

It also allows for contingency in the halves.

The other potential reasoning is that Burton ends up at 14 with Galvin moving to 6 once Woods cements the HB role.

If you havent already noticed, CC' s gameplan revolves around versatility in players. The number on your back means jack shit when you pride yourself on defence.

CC couldnt give a shit if a winger has to make a try saving tackle in the middle of the field or if a forward has to make one on the wing.

Thankfully the Penrith board didn't give a fuck about what Gus thought and went behind his back and re-hired Cleary and then booted Gus out of the club.

Yeah he had a fantastic game last night. Best on ground for us i reckon.

Ran the ball alot more which is what i like him for from his Eels days but sadlybhas been lacking last couple of years. He also kicked really well and defended well.

I think most of us would say he has been value for money during his time here.

Hopefully we finish as high up on the ladder and give both him and Sexxy every chance for a premiership tilt.
 
Season can go either way now. Either we can rally together and do something special. Or the players can sulk, Ciraldo can make ridiculous selections and we go out with a whimper.

Option B was never a possibility until the disruption signing from Tiger, the season is on a knife edge at the moment.

Mahoney will suit Cowboys perfectly. They way they like to play attacking footy 2 passes wide of the ruck with halves playing over the ad line will allow him to go back to his Parra attacking style

Panthers (Gus i think) sacked Anthony Griffin as coach when they were top 4....

All because he drank multiple Cokes in the coaches box instead of Mount Franklin.....

Gould is certainly not perfect and no doubt he drinks his own bath water, but club is a lot better off than it was before his second coming. He will have a use by date.

We use to have a junior who could cover those positions but we decided to be tight arses over money
 
Offload Hughes and Curran as well and get sad boii Tino. He wants direction and clarity from the Titans he's not going to get ever. Make a play again

I'm happy for Mahoney he's going. It's like Ennis, our game plan restricted his talents and favoured attacking style. Hopefully he gets to play the way he wants. Best for all parties involved imo
