For years we struggled to replace Mick Ennis at hooker and I am afraid that we are about to fall into the same cycle.

I like Hayward as a player but he is going to have to do a lot of work on his service.

His manager got him 500k so I would say he was looking at that mark or more I wouldn’t pay more than 400k to Toby he has hit his peak he is 24 that’s when they say they show there professional side….!!!!!!!

Are you sure? When he took over at hooker before all the experts on here said he was way sharper than Reed
 
I'm surprised we didn't sign eyebrows. Hayward might be able to fill in at DH but is no genuine 9.

And while I might not agree - thats at least a fair argument. If anyone is talking players contracts without considering the money or the contract term is living in some crazy fairyland of no salary cap. And what you did not mention about the Catalan contract is like all Aussies on euro contracts - he can walk any time he likes. So he gets paid more, if a better aussie offer comes up he can walk (which there are a few opps coming up in 2027) and the power is all in his court.

When was his last run straight through the ruck like he used to I haven’t seen it.

All I’m seeing is a bloke who can defend but most of the time there is always 3 in tackle. He is not worth 650k sorry I love the bloke but that’s big money for someone who cost us last years finals for discipline that penalty let to a try and off she goes even when they scored after we would’ve won by 2 points and moved further on….!!!!!!!
