I heard Connor Tracey interviewed recently on the ABC, and he was asked: "Does it worry you that your forward, Max King, is only one try behind you?"
Someone else mentioned the Roosters pack…DSF knocked out…King goes to work… I thought King was wobbly after one of those Leniu contacts…King rattled Leniu..That’s why Leniu overplayed his hand and errors.

Leniu is all uncontrolled aggression, and more likely to find time in the bin during a vital game than King.

I'll take King any day in our line up. He is controlled, fit, and never gives up.

Opponents do not underestimate him - just look at how many tacklers he attracts when he gets the ball.

He creates holes in the defence all day - not a ten minute wonder like Leniu, who is less effective when he doesn't elbow or shoulder charge his opponents.
Robinson made the call between Leniu and May.
Prefer the bigger minute effort player myself and then when he could bring him on earlier in 2nd half, didn't trust him with the task I presume.

Spencer not a good fit at Rorters.

Hard to pick because we had so many strong performers, particularly in the middle.

I’ll go…

3 - King - Really stood up after we quickly went down a prop.
2 - Burto - Kicking game got us back in the match and sealed the win with a great individual try.
1 - Take your pick from Hopoi or Hayes. Both were massively important.

Edit: I knew I forgot someone! Fuck it, Kiks can share the points with Maxy! He was HUUUUUGE in the second half. Love his commitment so much!

3- Burton
2-Kikau
1- Lips
-1000000000000000000 Montoya. Fuck I don’t want to be a downer… he is terrible and has to be dropped for Sua

Bro is quickly turned decrepit since round 1 lol. He just doesn’t have the legs. Give him a rest at least. I think a bye isn’t far away? which he needs badly. Still took many hard carries though, so can’t be too harsh.

Hopoi has really been working hard.

Physically looks bigger and stronger, and he pumped out the minutes and yards against a good pack too.

That's what I was thinking: Hopoi looked smaller last year, right? So I wasn't super-excited when his name came up, but he went great guns!

Like a lot of us said in the pre-season, the montoya is a bog average winger. Hopefully one of our young guns get a run in his place sometime soon
Monty was only brought in when JAC was punted. Suspect by ‘26 at least one of our young pups playing well in Cup gets a crack at NRL. Wilson is the option in the interim, though I think he’ll move on end of ‘25.

He’s definitely added some size…

Too hard to single any 3 out for mine.

So many could have got the points.

Whole of team effort including Ciro for exposing Teddy moving away from centre field and us cutting back in to where he wasn't:grinning:

Surprised to visit this thread and not see much mention of Tracey.
He made a lot of very tough metres. Super reliable.
