You have to joking. Extra Souths player was involved in the play.

Ah, that doesn’t matter, if there’s an extra player on the field and you win you lose the 2 points. We lost 2 points for having an extra player on the field and didn’t have part in the play. In fact one was coming off while the interchange player was running on, but the player coming off was still a few metres from the sideline. Extra player on field loss of 2 points. I thought it was madness but it’s the RULE!When it was 22-6.
We were LOSING the game, and won with the 14th player on the field.
Vastly different
There is absolutely no precedent where 2 points are guaranteed lost under such circumstance.Ah, that doesn’t matter, if there’s an extra player on the field and you win you lose the 2 points. Soward cost us the MPRabbitohs under investigation for having 14 players on the field for a few plays last night. Watch nothing happen. Yet we get stripped of points in 09 for an incident similar, where the 14th player wasn’t involved in any play. And that ultimately cost us the minor premiership.
Load of Shit
I think that was also the year of the Soward incident which cost us another two points. There’s been a few instances over the years. Teams always cop fines. But yeah we got points stripped. Call me a sook but that sets up that season so different. We would have been minor premiers that year.
But he was never near the play, and had no effect on the result.Hold up, gents.
Ours was a VASTLY different scenario.
In 09, our 14th player played a passive role in us winning the game. Our 13th player was injured in back play, and instead of going off, Ryan (or maybe Ennis) stayed in the field when they were supposed to go off.
NO it did NOT.There is absolutely no precedent where 2 points are guaranteed lost under such circumstance.
The Cowboys were docked 2 points in the early naughties for having 14 for a substantial period. The Broncos some year later retained them for having a 14th player - albeit for about 30 seconds.
Our incident directly influenced the end result. Hence why we lost points
In what way did it directly influence the result? There is absolutely no precedent where 2 points are guaranteed lost under such circumstance.

Sorry you are wrong. Our incident did not influence in any way the result. Try was scored on the opposite side of the ground to where the extra player was and Ennis was being attended to by the trainer. There is absolutely no precedent where 2 points are guaranteed lost under such circumstance.

It F’N stinks if they don’t lose 2 points. Different rules for different teams. The NRL site and 9 have been jizzing so hard over latrell and graham since souths won there's no chance they will lose points now. Oh to be a protected species
That little **** milked it .Soward cost us the MP
Souffs will get the golden handshake as always unfortunatelyI think they will lose the points, as it was for 30 secs & even though it didn't affect the outcome it was 14 vs 12 at the time.
Burgess could have been the 14th man and did a hip drop tackle and Souffs still wouldn't have their points taken off themJust read on 9 site that the breach is considered minor and unlikely to lose points. Burgess, the illegal player, took a hit up with 14 on the field. Our illegal player didn't get involved and we lost points. Maybe how long ago makes a difference. Different regime now
Correct. And it probably takes a whole set before your defensive line re-adjust to the numerical advantage. If you’ve created a situation where a defender needs to adjudicate where to position himself based on a player illegally entering the field - then they’re active enough to cause a sufficient change to defensive patterns.
