As much as they got away with a few blatant forward passes, and maybe we could have got a penalty or two at the end, nothing excuses collapsing like we did and the refs had nothing to do with us losing.

If you're up 18-0 with 20 left and lose, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

We need to complain about how we are treated by the refs. Instead of knee jerk reacting and buying and releasing players, the club should defend itself and speak about the poor treatment of our players by the supposed "fair" refs.

The fact that the NRLOL will fine coaches for doing so to avoid hurting there feelings has just allowed more dodgy calls to be made.

There has to be accountability.

I'd love to see someone go through every game and break them down into the things refs missed for one team verse the other, the timing of penalties and repeat sets called. I think the game is reffed to favour one team in almost every game. If it didn't piss me off seeing teams cop bias I'd watch more than just our games. But generally speaking I can see calls going one way within about 10 minutes of game time. I stop and check and generally the results will back up the way I see the bias falling.

So I'd love to see someone break it down for every game and present the results to try and get some action on bias, compared it to the breakdown of gambling for the games betting parner. I can't help but believe that gambling rules the games now. Seeing a clear picture of referee bias vs how it would impact the betting partners profit margin I think would paint a damning picture.

As one of the best supported teams, I think our wins would cost the betting partner money.

They did a few lifting tackles and some looked to go past the horizontal by a small fraction, if we did the same tackles we probably get penalised I bet you lol...

Some of the contact the players copped after releasing the ball was abit fucked too, our boys should have whacked some of those ***** back, we needed to assert more physical dominance ffs...
After our last game against them when we had Curran, ST and Burton all suspended, they were always going to go the niggle and hope to provoke more stupidity.

Thankfully we didn’t retaliate and get more players binned / suspended.
We lost the game due to errors and lack of composure.
Biggest miss on the night was Crichton’s leadership.

if CC's comments in the presser of the team "not learning lessons" in the previous game are anything to go by, he would have given them a good spray in the dressing room post game. I don't blame him.

Ezra was playing quarterback for the Broncos.
His NFL passes where on point. :(
We can blame our selves for the loss to a degree but frustration of the obvious causes mistakes as well. The SUTTONS are the Rothfields of referees to the Bulldogs.

The Sutton’s are a blight on the game, and have been for years.

Smith should not have refereed that game. I know he is an up and coming referee but he misses a lot of those areas and the ruck is always messy in his games.
Gee and Atkins ‘rested’ funny how a certain pair of referees who have been notorious for poor calls don’t get a rest.
Either Gee or Atkins should have refereed Friday night and the other appointed for origin III
One of the pair officiated the raiders and dragons game and to be honest needs a permanent rest from first grade
I saw a couple this weekend that most definitely need a rest. Manufacturing infringements ,missing obvious infringements, their speciality.

Unfortunately Alan as much as I love your ideas the overseers of our game won’t be told that there are problems. All we get from Abdo… the referees are doing a great job, consistently meeting their KPI’s. We don’t have a problem in our game. Just as they have their officials twist the grey areas in the game on the field the NRL head honchos do the same off field.

It says much about a person that can punish someone in what they deem a fair and equitable manner with a grin on their face. Someone who is charged with the responsibility of administering the rules, whether they be an NRL referee, or a judge making rulings in a court needs to be impartial, fair and understand exactly the rules under which they operate. Neither of those two gentlemen sadly do.

Well said.

I remember in 2015 after the infamous Black Friday game, we had G. Sutton ref us in our game at Belmore a few months later against the Sharks. He put Josh Reynolds on report and there was a smile on his face as he crossed his arms to make the signal. A picture of that made the Telegraph the following day.

I have written letters to the NRL re both Sutton brothers. On both occasions I got no reply.

Isn't there a better word like investigation lol.

That is no surprise. Criticism of those that are protected is never welcome, nor acknowledged. After the carry on from “that” game there will never be an admission that they are anything less than model citizens.

Have you tried Sportsbet?
They run the game.
Point out how incompetent referring hurts gambling.
Copy in NRL. They will respond if they think you're going above their heads.

Good thinking 99.

Carpet sweeping job. Seen that in my work life many times.
