Presser vs Bronks

Ciraldo has a vagina. Will he ever come out and flog these players at the press?
Because that's what the media wants from him. Why would he feed the scumbags?

He has never done that really. Even in 2023 and the Newcastle floggings.

Its why a lot of us criticised him for putting up with the dumb plays and not ripping into them in his pressers.

We were all proved wrong with his methods.

Its his style of coaching.

He really needs to bend a little with his expectations of expecting a whole brace of players playing out of position all at once in the same game and his suss bench rotations.

Its all designed for what he expects his team to cope with but we don't have the skillset of the Panther roster as yet.

Be interesting to see if he can adjust on the run. He's got every once of skill and determination out of them (that they are capable of) up until a few weeks ago and we've done very well with our small forwards and utility mindset, but the challenge now for him is to be flexible and work with what he's actually got: not what he might want or expect.

He certainly hasn't made it easy for Galvin by putting players out of their normal positions and therefore affecting the flow of their games together and expecting a 19 year old to run this team without our SOO players in particular Critta.

The most simple and less disruptive option was to play Galvin in the Mann role, FFS its not that complicated...

Isn’t that what Hayward is doing? Or we fucking him over to accomodate Galvin as well?
Our depth in our outside backs is poor.

Im talking about last night's game.

Hayward starts, Galvin comes on in the Mann role.

But that's not i actually wanted, my stance on LG hasn't changed. He should of gone straight to reserves with Woods in the halves with him.

The biggest question that needs answering is what happened to our right side defence in the last 20 minutes?

Xerri had a shocker, miscommunication between Sexton and his outside men cost us that final try.

We are at team that wins games in the last 20 minutes. Today and last week we lost the games in the last 20 minutes due to errors and incomplete sets. Fix this and we are back on track.

Ciro will be on a warpath this week.

Reynolds mentioned it in their presser. Instead of trying to go through us, they switch tactics in the 2nd half to exploit our new edge defenders. If Crighton and Kiraz were there, they probably can’t do shit.

In other words Madge out coached Ciraldo yet again

I was shocked Cirro picked him instead of Wilson. Enarl is rubbish.

Wilson is good for at least 2-3 errors per match. Tuala did well given it was just first NRL match in a while. Would need to see more of Tuala in NRL before judging him.

I agree uce, the two worrying parts for me last night was watching us show zero urgency for the scrum giving them a easy entry into our 20 and then watching Walter’s score cos I can’t be the only person watching that knowing exactly what he was going to do

100% this was the worst, Gronks scored after this, I think we were still up 18-10 at the time? Either way that sealed the deal, I knew we were gone after that lack of urgency…

Xerri is a liability against fast fleet footed outside backs. Against the top teams he just doesn’t cut it. I’ve said it befiore our lack of depth in the outside backs is an issue and the club need to address this nect year

I missed that one but, thought Xerri was one of our best, pretty sure he didn’t make any errors either. Plus, It’s not always the player that missed a tackle/gets beaten that is the cause. It’s often a few others being out of position that leaves holes in our defence.

That had me livid. Especially when I heard ref called time off shot clock off…

No, im talking about now.

He should of used LG like he uses Mann.

Then what does Ciro do with Hayward? I don’t think starting Hayward at lock works, Hayward should either come off the bench or start in the halves or hooker.

Having both Hayward and Galvin in the bench leaves us too light on IMO however starting Hayward at lock to justify Galvin in the bench isn’t much better…

More like took advantage of an obvious weakness, took him the first half to figure it out though.

Ciro isn’t responsible for the error and forced passes though. Dogs went away from the game plan that worked well for 60 minutes…

Few too many brain explosions IMO. Needed someone like Critta to calm the boys down. Mind you we did the same last week WITH Critta in the side…

I still say we reserve judgment until at least round 20 when Ciro hopefully finally can pick from the whole squad.

If we can win the next 4 matches then that should indicate we’re back on track. And we “should”, these are the types of games that Raiders have been winning all year with the exception of Manly and Cows.

He needs to cut the father figure bullshit and rip into them a bit.

He will never say he made a bad selection when it is obvious that he did.

Galvin in Sexton, Mahoney out of the club so what have we benefited? We lost our spine because of Cam and Gus wanting to buy every single player on the market.

Mate that's "The Kennel" mentality.

Didn't even bother watching the presser as there is no excuse for what happened yesterday. I will take a guess though and see how close I get,

We done some things we didn't want to,
we will take this and learn some lessons,
as long as we get better every day,
follow the process,

blah blah blah

Watching Storm and Raiders just win their games by 6 and 4 point margins makes me even more salty we lost our game.
